Hi posy, so much to remember for me .

70's when i was a kid!

Games..
pick up sticks, old maid and donkey, whirly wheelers, its a knockout,on the buses, my spacehopper, Ggirls World , roller skates and my Nookie bear who i adored! and Emu, everyone had a rubbish Emu! lol

T.V...
Bagpuss, Hectors house, Captain Pugwash, Hickory house, Pipkins, Double Deckers, Josie and the pussycats,Barnaby Bear, Mary Mungo and Midge, so many but they are the ones that sprung into my head first.

Clothes...
As a kid i can't say there were any in particular. That for me was more when i was a teen in the 80's
I remember having a Holly Hobbie duvet set. I loved that!!!!

Thanks for the happy memories posy! :-)
Thank you bigmamma - we're a very close family. It's always a pleasure to read your posts too. Hope you're having a lovely weekend with your son. -x-

if you could get these toys for your kids, would you? and do you think they will love them as much as you did? my daughter loves my little pony like i did as a kid and after looking on here she wants a fashion wheel! anyone remember them? i had one and loved it! lol! xXx
The Wooden Tops, Andy Pandy & Rag, Tag & Bobtail. Oh, and Bill & Ben, of course. Now I'm showing my age!!
I bought my son a spacehopper and i cant say he was as enamoured with it as i had been with mine but in answer to your question, yes, there are loads of toys from my time that i know my kids would love !
I can't believe I forgot Holly Hobby! I loved that dress! Also Spacehoppers, roller skates, Pipkins (thank you for reminding me, unrulyjulie) Rainbow sherbet, Saturday Morning Pictures, scaring my Mum with spiders in old matchboxes and Emu...Smudge, you can tell the "Emu" story!!!
I didn't mention my older sister. She used to help me with my maths homework for hours on end and had the patience of a saint (she is three years older than me), although she used to really take the mickey out of me for talking to/bathing/dressing my dolls, as she preferred football and detested dolls (she still does)!!

emu! and grotbags!!
Kleiber - I used to love Watch with Mother too, so bought a video with them all on, for our first granddaughter nearly 18 years ago. She used to sit & watch it every time she stayed. It's still in the cupboard, but our grandson & two youngest granddaughters prefer Disney films!

UJ - We've still got the orange space hopper we bought in the 70's. It's still inflated & the grandchildren have had lots of fun on it too!

Didn't realise you would be posting back Wispy!

Oh, I remember you scaring me with those spiders in match boxes, you little rascal! Also the saga of Emu! As you know, we've still got that here & the grandchildren have had hours of fun with it since too!

smudge, mine was a bay city rollers one that my brother and sister in law bought for my birthday. I would have preffered one with that funny face on seeing as i wasnt a fan ! LOL Hours of fun though, that is until i decided it would be fun to bounce down the stairs, but thats another story lol
