is prostitution wrong in your eyes?
i mean in some countries its legal.
here in the reef they have "spanish bars " these are brothels with bars in them.
legal and not a problem .
holland is very libersal on it and evn in some states in the usa there are " chicken ranches" where you can pay for the company of a woman.
i saw a documentary on one such " chicken ranch 2 the guirls worked there for a yera or twop to buy a nice house and then set themselves and their partners up.
they seemed happy enough and were living pretty well.
so what are your thoughts on this ?

At one point in my life I would have felt it was totally wrong, just as I would have felt being a stripper was wrong. After knowing someone who owned a strip club and meeting some of the dancers, i feel differntly. People often say these jobs exploit women. My friend's club was well run and he tretaed the girls fairly and respectfully. I felt it was the men whe were being exploited.LOL In order to sit at the bar/stage they had to keep buying drinks and they were $10.00 far a bottle of beer. Most of the dancers were college girls or single moms. One girl only dances on Friday and Sat. nights. She was home everday afterschool and was living a decent life. The college girls did well too, most still lived at home, payed cash for tuition and certainly had more money than I ever did slicing cold cuts at $3.35 an hour.
I think if prostitution was not seen as last chance or a forced situation and the woman was in control, who am i to judge what one does with their body??? Would i want my child, if i had one, to do it I guess not, but.....

Even legalising prostitiution does not cut out the pimps.
In Holland, for example, there is an horrendous underworld of illegal prostitution - sex that is not allowed to be provided legally.
Without condoms, underage sex are examples. There is also a large number of 'sex slaves' in Amsterdam, women who have been trafficked from other countries and are forced to work as prostitutes:

I will never understand why men pay for sex, especially in the UK where girls give it away freely, but it really doesn't bother me so long as both parties are truly consenting.

thats a connection of sorts .
im sure that there will be some emn who will always rape but there are im sure some who after a night out think theyre due sex.
no?
and im sure that if there was a knocking shop on the corner theyd go there if they had cash.

One of the saddest things I ever saw on tv was that woman who tried to break the world record for having sex with the most men in a short period - Annabel Chong. 251 men - all strangers in a long queue, tackle at the ready - in 10 hours.
She got paid for it, so it was a form of prostitution, I suppose. But hardly erotic.
Just sad.

I saw that too Ethel. I thought it was a bizarre way to live your life. Many may say that it's the women that exploit the men but that certainly wasn't the case in that instance. I couldn't believe some of the sleaze-bags she was letting do that to her. It was indeed very sad.
Interesting report that, jno.
