Would age difference affect you, in choosing a bf or gf? I mean if its casual dating where you dont really care and its all a bit of fun, then I'm sure it wouldnt matter a bit, but if you're at that age where you're a bit more serious about what you want from a partner and life, then would say a 20 year gap affect you ? Could you ever see eye to eye on anything? What about when they're about 60 and you're 40... they tire more easily and life's only just started (after retirement) for you? Is it a big deal or am I overreacting?

look at michael douglas & catherine, to say nothing of ordinary everyday folk who are together despite age gaps

douglas and jones are one in a million, i think. Also, douglas is all wrinkly and gross while jones is still a young woman.

Is love enough to get through such a difference? Age is not just a number in the end, it affects things you may not notice until later n life, from your outlook to biological changes you have no control over that affect your mood amongst other things. With a partner not going through what you may be (due to the age diff), you might begin to drift apart which might get worse the older you both get................
Does anyone have any mre examples of couples with huge age differences?

no its called deliberating... positives i already know, and I want to look at this from all angles.
Its too easy to look at it through rose tinted glasses and think, love will solve all problems, when its you who has to deal with them at the end of the day....

I agree with legs comments, I have been with a much older person and a younger person and it really does come down to individuals. the age doesnt mean squat

My hubby's 7 years younger than me feist,it makes no difference at all, as long as you love each other age should'nt be an issue:-)

right ok... and that's why your relationship lasted so long with people who were vastly younger or older than you....

Anyway, in a situation like this, wouldnt you say you'd have to know your partner really well to decide that age didnt matter after all? If you barely know them, then the obstacle seems even more impossible to get over.... especially if you've been open and honest about yourself the whole time.
