With the chance of hell hereafter. Would you like to give up all of life's luxuries so as to enjoy the fruits of other lives?

Slightly, just the thought of no thoughts.
Rational thought, it would appear, is a peculiarity to some. And the Earth and its inhabitants are suffering from a lack of attention to the things which make thinking an option, the survival and well being of living sentient beings with the capacity to reason.

The only fruit that has ever been harvested from thoughts about heaven is the manifestation of hell on Earth. Such thoughts are a luxury we can ill afford.
My dear birdie - Yet again you managed to misread what I said. I did say that although I would wish for heaven but as I am here I will live this life to the full. Heaven, Hell exists or not is another question. If you can't be 100 sure that it exists then you are not 100% sure it does not exist either. Are you?

As for this world, trust me I do not have to hit my thumb with hammer and I know I am here and I am living and enjoying this life 100% the way it should be enjoyed. However if you have any thoughts about anything I am missing out on then please let me know.

Mibn2cweus – You talk about rationality, reasoning ets. But have you ever used rationality and reasoning freely? I don’t think so. The essence of Heaven or Hell is God. And to believe in God all you have to do is use reasoning and rationality with freedom of thinking about all of the possibilities. Then you would not have to leave the seat your are sitting in and will find out about the existence of God.

Once a very known and self made intellectual asked same question to an old uneducated women that why she believed in God? What reason she had? She said I know because I move this wheel to spin cotton and I noticed that the moment I stop my figure from spinning this wheel it stops moving. Now why should I believe that a spinning wheel need someone to keep it moving and whole Universe is moving or spinning or revolving or doing whatever it is doing by itself? And then she said I know God is only one. And REASON for me to believe so is that whenever my daughter wants to give me a hand with spinning this wheel, I noticed that it is only one person’s job because it has to be precise power that is needed otherwise it would either go too fast and cotton breaks up or gets tangled if too slow.

In other words you do not have to be a rocket scientist to know if God exists or not. You have to think about SIMPLE REASONS. Otherwise you would be like that scene from Jurassic Park movie where the so called expert was standing inside of the Foot Print made by the Dinosaurs and was asking where the foot print was.
trt - what is the special attraction of virgins? It sounds as if you're a Muslim already if you are so insistent on being the first.
In any case, after 30 nights you'll have lost all your virgins. What do you do for the rest of eternity?

Despite keyplus's inevitable sermons the idea of heaven and hell is a childish one born in ignorant times. Everyone should have grown out of it by now.
I give up, Keyplus.
I have read your "answer" several times and am still unable to figure out what point (if any) you are trying to make.
Admittedly, my expectations were not too high to begin with...
Something that the churches don’t teach you, As you know, the Bible is a book that at one time was widely respected. In these days, unfortunately, fewer and fewer people read it. Yet when we are discussing theBible, we cannot do so in a satisfying way unless we refer to the Bible, Matthew 11:23; 16:18; Luke 10:15; 16:23; Acts 2:27, 31; Revelation 1:18; 6:8; 20:13, 14.

Whatever image the word “hell” brings to your mind, hell is generally thought of as a place of punishment.

So does life of some kind, in some form, continue after death? What is hell, and what kind of people go there? Is there any hope for those in hell? The Bible gives truthful and satisfying answers to these questions.
Concerning this use of “hell” to translate these original words from the Hebrew and Greek, Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (1981, Vol. 2, p. 187) says: “HADES . . . It corresponds to ‘Sheol’ in the O.T. [Old Testament]. In the A.V. of the O.T. [Old Testament] and N.T. [New Testament], it has been unhappily rendered ‘Hell.’
So the question is: What kind of place is Sheol, or Hades? The fact that the King James Version translates the one Hebrew word Sheol three different ways shows that hell, grave and pit mean one and the same thing. And means the common grave of mankind

The False doctrine that hell is a place of torment is not based on the Bible. Rather, it is a pagan belief masquerading as a Christian teaching. The Bible’s teaching regarding the condition of the dead gives us great comfort and relief.

Nightmare - I have always been unable to understand one thing here. That why all of the atheists are so much worried about something that does not exist? This question is about Heaven (lets add hell into it for argument sake). Now you count and let me know that how many posters are religious and how many atheists.

Chaka - You learn how to ignore something that does not exist and people will stop talking about it. For me tooth fairy does not exist. Now you ask as many questions as you like and it will not bother me. Why a simple question about heaven or hell always bothers atheists more than the ones who believe in it. Or I would ask what I always ask. Are you not sure?
Trt.. virgins haven't been such a 'must have' since the advent of antibiotics. By the way, all the women in the world were virgins once so what percentage of your 30 virgins do you think you would meet your requirements?

Thats true my little birdie. Religion does go into people's lives regardless if they want that or not because it is truth and just as fresh air goes where ever life is needed same way religion keeps things moving whether few people agree with that or not. Then second aspect is what part and what sort of religion or religious matters. If people get fed up by someone knocking on their door almost on every Sunday then religious people are not doing themselves any favour. Although I believe in telling people about your belief once or may be twice but I do not agree with repeated pushing of people into believing what you believe in.
keyplus -while I know that trying to debate with you is a waste of time, it would be a good thing if you were to stick to the facts of what I have expressed.

I am not worried about the concept of heaven and hell - obviously, since I have called it silly and out-dated. And I don't know what you mean about not being sure. Please waffle on as much as you like but don't commandeer my supposed views to help you.
////keyplus -while I know that trying to debate with you is a waste of time,////

But I just can't help it..............

It seems to me that I "knowingly or unknowingly" hit my little birdie where it hurts. I am sorry my little boy if I did.
Sorry to hear about your little accident key+. I suppose it's an inevitable consequence of beating around the bush.

After all I was right then in assuming what I did assume (at least according to you).
