An imperfect God
84 Answers
The God promoted by believers cannot be reconciled with the God of the Bible. He made mistakes, he was unjust, and he was neither omniscient nor omnipresent. Nevertheless, despite glaring evidence to the contrary, members of his fan club tell us he was perfect. How do they justify that?

It may give you some insight into the workings of the catholic church and give you hysterics simultaneuosly.;-)

Yeah but who he chooses is quite mysterious (as are all of God's decisions).
Years ago there was a guy in the US who worked as a park ranger I think. He was repeatedly struck by lightning. I saw an interview with him. He said that after a few hits he would drive away from storms.
One time he did this and when he was sure he was far enough away he got out of his car. A single samll cloud was above him. Whack.
He explained in the interview how he had prayed to God to stop it happening and although God never said why he was doing it He promised that He would not do it any more.
The man was struck again and committed suicide.
