Is it really true that a male Muslim must kill himself if he sees a naked woman other than from his immediate family?

If it is, does this practice count for followers living in western countries? I mean, it is just about impossible to go through one's life without at least catching a glimpse of a streaker.

Hmmmm - opportunities there for a suicide streaker. I can just see it now, a naked woman running through the mosque killing hundreds. A sort of humane suicide bomber really....

Christian scriptures, and I'm thinking of the Old Testament here, say many things that we don't abide by "eye for an eye" comes to mind..............so we really can't take an ancient text that we don't understand fully and say that this is what the average Muslim does.
Extremists are, of course, a different story.

True or not what rational person would not want to kill themselves having seen something so utterly disgusting as another naked human?

God made us with clothes and removing them is an insult to our maker.
