No, of course I don't, why should I?

Don't jump to conclusions. I am sorry to disappoint you but I do not have any other user name - I am just me.

What are your reasons for believing that what is written in the bible is true?
How could you argue against my believing that everything written in the collected works of J K Rowling is true?
No. I feel more uneasy with the religious nutters who try to push their beliefs onto people who don't wish to hear.
J K Rowling wrote less contradictions, that's for sure!
What do you mean by "this is for your school project"?
Is this some sort of half arsed attempt for you to proclaim (literally) 'holier than thou' status ?
BTW, have you been diagnosed with schizophrenia ? I'm not trying to judge you, I'd just like to know.
As for the question - no, why should I ?

“I think that Elderman is missing something in his life that makes him try to prove others wrong”

Well, in many places, concern for one’s life and possessions makes for locked doors, barred windows, and watchdogs commonplace.

Then a person can be crippled, robbed, defrauded, raped, and yet little is done to compensate the victim. Instead, the offender is given a prison sentence, and later the weight of sympathy seems to go to the criminal, with the innocent victim often forgotten. Yes the laws of virtually every nation condemn social evils like this. It is clear that since the message of hope was too good to keep to themselves, Christians had to tell others about it. (Matt 24:14)
Atheists are a bit like an inocculation against a disease. If there were fewer atheists and more religious fundamentalists, the world would be a religious battlefield.
Elderman, you really have lost the plot, history has proven time and time again that our biggest threat comes from religion, to my knowledge, nobody has died in the name of Atheism, compared to millions that have died in the name of religion.

If there was a god he would deserve to die for crimes against humanity!!
Elderman, //It is clear that since the message of hope was too good to keep to themselves, Christians had to tell others about it. //

If your message of hope is an offer to us to spend eternity with you and your cronies on condition that we worship your God - thanks, but no thanks. A God that puts his own ego before the sincere attributes of a human being is not worthy of anything - least of all praise. You stick with him if you think that will save your soul - but have the courtesy to allow the rest of us to choose death over duplicitous sycophancy.

I couldn’t agree more. However, the god I know is not the God you know.
The god you know will be destroyed in my God’s due time.

Naomi: Spend eternity with those who believe in God? Don’t worry with your current attitude you won’t. God is only calling those who have a sincere desire to serve him and you obviously don’t – at the moment.
Naomi..There you have it, you do not qualify for heaven, Elderman has decreed it thus. I must stop teasing him / her /it/ them as they etc, must have a bit of influence upstairs. So, best behaviour everyone and we might be forgiven (forgiveness is compulsory in chrisianity).
Jom, isn't that wonderful?!! Elderman came here to spread the good news - and he's dunnit! Fantastic! Mission accomplished! :o)

Well, regarding the references made by historians to Jesus and the early Christians, the Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2002 Edition, says: “These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus, which was disputed for the first time and on inadequate grounds at the end of the 18th, during the 19th, and at the beginning of the 20th centuries.” In 2002, an editorial stated: “Most scholars, barring the stray atheist, have already accepted Jesus of Nazareth as a historical person.
Elderman, I'd like to know who the 'most scholars' you refer to are because there is no verifiable evidence whatsoever for the existence of Jesus. If there were, the question would not remain. Have you got a link?

However, I think I'm right in saying I'm one of the few atheists here who believe Jesus existed, but having said that I don't believe for a moment he was who you think he was. You people have hijacked him and turned him into something he wasn't - and actually, I feel very sorry for him.
No, I'm one of them
For my school project? Approval came from who?
Why would I feel threatened by me?
Have never heard of a fanatical athiest strapping a bomb to themself and walking into a crowded restaurant or bus and killing /maiming innocant people in the name of atheism.

So no I would not feel threatened or uneasy.
Being an athiest myself I find that my athiest friends have greater genuine compassion and are more understanding, than my religious friends.

To regulate your lives properly, an understanding of matters involving time can be a source of great encouragement to Christians, since many of God’s purposes toward earth and man involve a time factor. In connection with some of the events foretold in the Bible, God has revealed the time factor involved as a help to true worshipers. That such kind of revelation inspires true worshipers Jesus noted when he exclaimed: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual....................Matt. 11:25.
