Sith - “... Atheism is based on science, they believe they know everything about science, yet religious people are the ones who discovered more about science. So basically what atheists "believe" is what religion found out. fitting, huh?...”
By typing the above words, it is clear that you have a very tentative grasp of both atheism and science.
Precisely what did religion 'find out' that atheists and science has only recently revealed? Was it Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity that demonstrated that space and time are not discreet entities but are one and the same and are curved? Is that what religion found out? Can you show us evidence of this discovery in religious texts? Can you also show us scriptural evidence for other scientifically discovered facts such as the existence of deoxyribonucleic acid, the pathogenic theory of medicine, cosmic microwave background radiation, the Planck constant, etc.? Of course not. Such things weren't even dreamt of 1500 years ago and beyond.
The simple fact is, the people who wrote your religious texts were people of their time - largely scientifically illiterate and not over familiar with logic and reasoning. That is not meant as an insult since almost all people of that time throughout the world would fall into that category. However, it is quite absurd for someone today who uses technology that would utterly bamboozle their recent ancestors to read the Koran or the Bible or the Torah or any other religious text and by selective translations, twisting of language and the debasement of logic, come the conclusion that every scientific discovery ever made (and that will ever be made) is all there in that particular ancient document.
People making such claims invariable end up looking rather foolish.
