//Do me a favour sunshine, that is a porky and no mistake//

do me a favour jom, you dont know about my life, i have met and spoke to atheists, here and outside of here that definitely believe this, and deep down, i know you do to. Atheism is based on science, they believe they know everything about science, yet religious people are the ones who discovered more about science. So basically what atheists "believe" is what religion found out. fitting, huh?
Question Author
these are just christians who have contributed to science, and their are many more:

here are also a few muslim scientists.
With spelling like that ...is there any wonder?
Question Author
is that all you atheists can point out? spelling? tells a lot about you than.
and some people are wise enough to know there is more to heaven and earth than we will ever know ... and keep quiet about it!
Question Author
must have hit a nerve.

//and some people are wise enough to know there is more to heaven and earth than we will ever know//

Do you even believe in heaven?
Sith, so I don't know anything about your life...true, but you know what I believe deep down..false. However take this opportunity and surprise me, what do I 'believe deep down'.
Atheism is not based on science, it is based on simple reasoning and the rejection of bullsh1t. You haven't a clue what science is and you are clutching at straws. I find your claims that many scientist were religious just shows that 'deep down' you know that science works and you are trying to gain religion credit by associating it with science. Sort your head out and decide whether you believe in a religion or not.

Sith I have been on this planet lot longer than you and have associated and worked with many atheists and scientists, not one of them ever claimed that atheists are wiser than 'normal people. How many atheists have given you your strange idea.
Atheism is based on common sense and logic.
sith, you have made a general assumption in your original question, based on someone's "one-or-two" choice.

Religious leaders have been very clever for centuries, misinforming peoples with unsupported falsehoods.

Jom, i am not saying that you said atheists are "wiser" than religious people. Not everything is about you. I know that we will never know everything about science, but if you read my post again you can see i was talking from an atheists viewpoint, not mine and again, you may not have said it, but many people have.

To be honest you have changed my mind jom, atheists aren't wiser than religious people, but their a whole lot more arrogant.
Sith, Arrogant? Following your leader again? You can't speak from an atheist's viewpoint. You're not an atheist.
Sith, you argument barely merits a reply but I will have a try.
1. Naomi beat me to this point, you can no more talk from an atheist's point of view than I can talk from the point of view of a believer.
2.You are being disingenuous again, suggesting that you might have thought that atheists are wiser than believers, when the tone of our original question suggests otherwise.
Keyplus has the right idea..one word answers..
Sith, I agree wholeheartedly with father ted. your argument is becoming ridiculous
