The 'Good *cough* Book' says, ...it is appointed unto a man once to die, and then the judgement.

Suppose that, as it turns out, God's daddy decided to turn the tables and put God on trial, appointing you as judge and jury instead. Would you send your only begotten to die on a cross in an attempt to reconcile God's mistakes . . . or better yet, condemn God to an eternity of torment for His failure to get it right in the first place?

I believe in 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'. Nobody knows to this day wether he lived or died but he wa a good man, I reckon !

Aynhoe, you’re mistaken. My knowledge of religion and its associated writings is the result of years of study - nothing else.
God is an ignorant fool made by ignorant fools.
Goodlife, while you are here, could you answer my question about why you think the bible is the word of god? Still looking for a 'cut and paste' reply?
Which god would that be?
//'cut and paste' reply//

//It is foolish to call real what is not real//

And to fill this void, people who reject organized religion or the belief in a Creator often turn with religious passion to some substitute god. Science, politics, philosophy, and even agnosticism and atheism become their fervently held religion.
Goodlife, that's nonsense. You claim you're here to warn the Godless of impending doom, but tell me, how do you expect to convince anyone to believe you when you consistently avoid answering their perfectly justifiable questions?

And before you reach for a biblical text to cut and paste - do think about my question. An original answer would be good.

Naomi@ Than you should know It all.
as an objective observer, i would judge that Naomi knows and understands a lot more than goodlife.

perhaps recourse to meaningless religous tracts is simply the last refuge of the fearful, confused and deluded.
Goodlife, See what I mean? Again no answer. Preaching might be your forte, but teaching certainly isn't.

Goodlife, are you really Sith, you seem to be unable to distinguish between 'then' and 'than' in the same way as him.
You haven't answered any questions yet.
Goodlife, If you and you religious cohorts disappeared up you own funaments and stopped interfering with my life I wouldn't give atheism another thought, let alone make it my 'religion' (a delightful misconception)
Fundaments..
I preferred funaments, makes religion rather jolly.

Did god send pestilence etc? What a caring guy.

//since I’m not made in this God’s vindictive and spiteful, image//
God is not spiteful and despite your protestations you ARE made in God's image. Otherwise you would indeed be spiteful and evil and wicked etc.etc. God is Love and mankind was created in his image - this means every human has the potential to be wise, just, powerful and love. If you deny this then you are denying your existence.
// Whilst Jesus is claimed by many to be God’s only son, if we are to believe the bible, that isn’t true at all. God had other sons long before Jesus arrived on the scene. Curiouser and curiouser.//
I thought you said you had read and studied the Bible. Obviously not deep enough. Jesus was the first born, and only begotten son. Yes, God had other sons, (Adam and the other angels) but first and foremost was Jesus Christ. He was with God when he created all other things.

I for one, have no intention of interfering with your life. If you don't want to think about atheism, or theism, then just ignore the comments. Your choice. Simple.
TruthRebounds // God is not spiteful and despite your protestations you ARE made in God's image. Otherwise you would indeed be spiteful and evil and wicked etc.etc.

Perhaps you could try actually reading the Bible. God is one of the most vindictive personalities ever described. He almost makes Genghis Khan look like a gentleman.

And by the way, he might say His name is Jehovah but He also says His name is Jealous.

I think I will call Him Jealous from now on. Maybe I can form a new sect, "The Jealousians."
Truthabounds, I’ll ignore the first part of your post – Beso has dealt more than adequately with that. The rest is, similarly, tosh. God had sons before Jesus – not Adam – not angels – but sons. You might like to think you know who they were, but you don’t. Read the bible.
