What about the unclean animals, like the pig, camel and tortoise?

Religious Education in Britain today Moses taking animals into the Ark
The Ark as suggested by the Bible would have broken up because wood is not up to the engineering requirements.

Where did all the water come from and where did it go afterwards.

How did the animals in Australia and New Zealand make to onto the Ark and get back again.

Only imbeciles would believe the ridiculous stories of the Bible were real.
and Jeremy Kyle with the 10 Commandments,what happened to my thread a life ot its own?
A naval and architect and marine engineer worked for 40 year said,

My work has involved designing vessels of various shapes and sizes, along with the mechanical and other systems that propel them. In 1963, while I was living in British Columbia, Canada, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses showed me that the Bible book of Genesis describes Noah’s ark as a long box, or chest. This description intrigued me, and I decided to look into it further.

My examination of this subject led me to conclude that what the Bible says about Noah’s ark is realistic and consistent with modern shipbuilding practice. Of course, there are many details about the ark and the Flood that are not mentioned in the Genesis account. I hope one day, after the resurrection, to meet Noah here on earth, right among the families of humans and animals whose existence was made possible by the ark that he worked so long and hard to construct. (Acts 24:15; Hebrews 11:7) First, I will thank him and his family.
Goodlife, //Of course, there are many details about the ark and the Flood that are not mentioned in the Genesis account. //

If these details your engineer is aware of aren't in the Genesis account, where did he find them?
Is there a 'Haynes Manual' specifically designed to accompany the remarkable engineering feats as described in the bible?

@goodlife - You or Truthabounds have posted, pretty much word for word, that exact same defence of the ark, by the alleged "naval architect and marine engineer of 40 years standing" before - and as before, there is no link so that we can check either the veracity of the defence or the bona fides of the "expert". Anecdotal drivel then, barely worthy of consideration.

The virtually identical wording provides the clue - More cut and paste from the JW playbook,it would seem.The sad thing is,it matters little anyway - there are so many holes and logical inconsistencies in the whole noahs ark and the great flood myth that the size of the ark remains probably one of the most inconsequential.

The fact that someone somewhere provided you with one alleged "naval architect and marine engineer" willing to endorse some biblical myth is a meaningless irrelevance.
Goodlife, If I had to design a large floating vessel that maximised the internal space and stability given the limitations of the materials available and had no motive power, it wouldn't look much like the fanciful illustrations produced by the JWs.
Having read the title of the OP I just cannot take this even remotely seriously, was it meant as a wind-up or just a lack of knowledge?
//Your lack of knowledge//

You can make and test your own scale model of the ark using the accompanying pattern. Ordinary paper can be made suitably waterproof by rubbing it all over with wax or crayon. The paper can then be folded and the corners secured with tape or glue. Attach ballast weights to the floor of your model—such as a few evenly spaced coins held in place with tape or glue—until it floats with between a third and a half of its height under water.
To demonstrate the ark’s seaworthy behavior, place your finished model in the middle of a tub of water, such as a bathtub, and align it lengthwise. Try making small regular waves by holding a milk carton or similar object crosswise at the end of the tub and pushing it down into the water lightly and rhythmically.

But it does not rest on mere traditions of men, on the folklore of primitive people, or on geologic and archaeological findings.
.....you missed out the bit about then filling your model with a variable amount of livestock.... will this also have to be to scale?...and also, tiny human beings.....
@goodlife

Really? This is what constitutes research by JW standards? This is what your "naval architect and marine engineer of 40 years standing" comes up with as proof of concept? - A paper boat in a bathtub?

It will convince no one with any sanity - it is about as convincing as all those failed end time prophecies the JWs are so keen not to talk about....

Sometimes I can't tell my ark from my elbow.

Brilliant!!
^^ Yep, I liked that one too alba. You have also raised a new concern plowter.... is a pantomime pig unclean, and are they offensive to muslims?
Goodlife, after reading your last few answers Im almost embarrassed on your behalf. I should stop before they get any more foolish.
Goodlife, with that paper boat I think you've just scuppered the last remnants of any credibility you might have had. Good grief!!
He took to many cats.
Goodlife, Where did Noah get his foot thick paper from and how he manage the big crayons? these are serious questions that need answering.
