I am human. I will breed you and indescriminantly kill you for my food. I will also select the ones that feel nice, kill you and make you into my clothes. When I feel lonely or need to seek solace in my terrible life I will use you for your companionship and convince myself you love me.

Now I get laughed at a lot by turning to vegetarianism more and more but does the above not sound just pathetic?

I always laugh at the vegetarians who state all the moral filled reasons why they are vegetarians...then go and eat a kebab

Not pathetic at all honey, just a bit flabby, not that I can understand a word about you are saying.

Vegetarians quite often seem to enthuse but rarely persuade.

Hitler was a vegetarian, and he was a barrel of fun wasn't he.

I think the link between the invasion of Poland, Denmark, Norway, France, Belgium, Holland, Greece, et all and Hitlers devotion to a tasty nut cutlet has never been fully explored by historians. He always seemed so angry every time he appeared on the Pathe Newsreel. I am sure he would have been a little more calm and contented if he had a nice bacon sandwich.

Mind you, just like the Jews, he didn't eat pork.
Just noticed what an ill-tempered lots there are on this question ! Both carnivores and veggies, so it can't be down to three meals a day can it ?

Aren't Vegans meant to have pointy ears anyway ? Spock had pointy ears and while he wasn't what you might call angry, you never saw him smile much did you ?
I got told off by my diabetes nurse last week, when I told her that I like a wee dram of good quality Malt of an evening.

I told her that its made from spring water, barley, and malt and that its practically Muesli but she wasn't terribly impressed.
This should win a prize!

///Milk is only available because cakes are killed///

;o)
I am human. I will breed you, feed you, care for you and then discriminately kill you for food. I will also select the ones that have good skins , kill you and make you into clothe so that I may survive. When I feel lonely or need to seek solace in my life I will enjoy your companionship and know that you love me because I feed and care for you equally.
Sorry Baldric but ..... ?

Missing a joke here ?
My wife is a veggie, I have never known anyone to laugh at her. Indeed why should they? The only thing is catering to her needs appears cursory in some places, but that is slowly changing.

Why is this in religion?

i missed that

I might need to give up milk if cakes are being killed :-)
I don't laugh at vegetarians . . . as a matter of fact, I find them quite tasty.
That does not follow JJ. One can't just assume a vegetarian who objects to killing a cow for food would consider it ok to kill for leather to make shoes. For those who claim moral reasons for their choice, it is the killing they don't believe is right. However if morality is the reason someone is a vegetarian, then their justification not to eat the meat might be removed should they kill the cow accidentally. That said I suspect they'd be too upset to consider changing their eating habits.

Well linking vegetarians to Hitler is rather funny. I actually met the worse kind of meat eater that I really despise. He would never eat chicken ón the bone' as it turned his stomach.
By doing this he does not like to think he is actually be eating meat at all and just pretend it just magically appeared from nowhere. This annoys me even more. You should at least appreciate where the meat has come from and what died to let you feast on it.
I don’t laugh at vegetarians and I do not like people killing animals just for the sake of killing it or for fur etc. But on the other hand I do not agree with the reasons given by any vegetarian for being a vegetarian. So let’s see what your reason is?

I actually watched a film documentory called Earthlings which made me actually think about where meat comes from. We all like to think animals dies without pain etc but that is not true. I hope soon they can grow meat in a testtube and stop all the butchery. It will eventually finish and when we look back at how we treated animals it will be considered part of the dark ages where humans were ignorant and cruel.
oops stupid auto correct - shouldn't post from the phone should i

I was a vegetarian for a few years. Just didn't do it for me. Personal choice. Personal business. Get over it.

Use of leather shoes is not really a valid point. The animal was not killed for its skin but for food. //

No no. They were killed for their skins. What is immoral is not eating the meat that is by-product of the leather.

I liked Beso's logic so much that I thought I'd use it myself.
