Going back to god, gives no support to your argument, but seems to me the act of a lonely or desperate man.
One other thing "I am very happy because I have found the truth and the organization that Jehovah is using" What is the one name JW's are forbidden from saying?

"I thought that my life would stop after having left the JW's but it's on the contrary. I'm a moderator at H2O in Finnish -section and I'm also along with a support group for Ex-JW's here in my country. On top of that I'm busy in a couple of associations, in one of which I'm a member on the board of directors dealing with personel management. So there are a plenty of work to do but I'll try to write here every now and then. At least I can polish my rusty English here... :-)
Yours,
Markus/Liquidizer
P.S. I'm the same Markus who was mentioned on the Watchtower, the first issue of January, 1997, in the turn of pages 4 and 5. If they only knew in Brooklyn that I'm an unitarian universalist now... ;-D"

You can see not all atheists were raised as such. Many were exposed to a form of religion and at one time believed in God. However, serious health or family problems or certain injustices they experienced weakened their faith, and see also not all atheists will accept the truth. But there are many who are willing to consider another viewpoint. Use logic, persuasion and, above all, the power of God’s Word to help them see the truth.—Acts
According to one reference work, over 230 million of earth’s inhabitants are atheists. Other sources show that additional millions are influenced by Eastern philosophies that allow for the view that there is no Creator. Moreover, while hundreds of millions do believe in a Creator, their ideas about him differ radically. And in many cases, their actions bring great reproach upon the One they once claim to worship.—2 Peter 2:1, 2.
If God exists—and he most certainly does—then surely the major issue today must involve him. Why did he create mankind? What is our responsibility toward him? How will he react to the way man is ruining the earth? And how will he respond to the challenge implied by the refusal of so many to believe in him or submit to his will, In fact, the great issue facing each one of us is whether we accept or reject the sovereignty of God, “whose name alone is Jehovah—Psalm 83:18.

A quick Google reveals that this feeble dribble ("The existence of love is proof that God is" - puhlease, Louise...) is cut and pasted from the Watchtower, as per usual.
What relevance it has to the matter supposedly under discussion is unclear. It certainly has no effect on me other than inducing a feeling of pity.

OP //Some say that Atheists have nothing to offer.//
Why should they have to have something to offer? - Atheists don't indoctrinate people -don't go door to door preaching Atheism so why should they be required to offer anything either spiritual or otherwise? I am Pagan -I have nothing to offer - don't try to convert anyone -certainly don't criticise or hate anyone for their religion - disagree yes but disrespect never .

Another goodlife classic, but where to begin? are we to understand that love existed before god? that means that god was not the creator as he was preceded by love which was created by ....? Sadly goodlife you will never understand why man was created because there simply is no 'why'. Have you ever considered how much the earth is ruined by mankind in the manufacture of pseudo religious tracts such as watchtower with the concomitent despoilation of forests and pollution of rivers? No of course not.
Today, as in the past, walking in Jehovah’s way demands loyalty—a determination to serve him alone. It demands trust—complete faith that Jehovah’s promises are reliable and will come true.
Jesus said that you could tell false religion from true religion ‘by its fruits’—by what its members do, also Atheists.(Matthew 7:15-23)
He also said it would face of global opposition, Jehovah’s Witnesses have vigorously applied themselves to accomplish the work that Jesus foretold. The extent to which the witness has already been given is a matter of record, and a truly spectacular one.
You can see his causing notice to be served in advance is not just for creating an end-of-the-world scare. He is not one who scares or converts to his side, nor are the worldly scoffers the ones to yield to such scaring.
Those who try to create a scare generally want to cause a sensation and they have an unscriptural explanation of what the calamity is to be. They look for publicity and notoriety and want to induce a lot of excitement and emotionalism. But Jehovah has considerateness in his serving of advance notice, and so the ones who do not take heed can never say they did not have a chance.

Some say that those who don't answer questions are either ignorant or don't want to answer because they are ashamed of the answers. Some others say anything rather than admit their ignorance. Some say that they know all the answers to all the questions but fall conveniently silent when put to the test. Some are sad, just very sad. :-(
@goodlife - Once again you are guilty of unattributed cut and paste postings. You cannot even preface the story by acknowledging that you lifted it from Watchtower.
Intellectual dishonesty - Yet again.
People respond to your original post and follow story - the one lifted from Watchtower- but you fail to acknowledge the responses, or to respond to them yourself.
JtH posted a link showing that one of the people that featured in your story has actually identified themselves, and also given details of the inaccuracies - some may say lies - of your original post, the one from Watchtower- again, you fail to respond.
Instead you offer us more homilies, straight out of the "big book of trite tails and saying praise the lord".
Like the whole circular argument about love. The fact that there is an emotion, an attribute, a condition called love is not proof of god at all - and you most certainly can have love without god - we have been experiencing it for millennia.
You continue to assert that "god most definitely exists" without offering any evidence or proof. Your faith is simply that - faith. It is not evidence of anything. It is precisely as rational as believing that the earth is flat, or that money left under the pillow in exchange for a tooth comes from the tooth fairy. There is no evidence that mankind was created. And uur stewardship of the earth, whilst having some glaring problems, is still much much better than if we followed biblical guidance.
I was not aware Matthew mentioned atheists. I was all set for a good read, then found out that he did not, after all, mention atheists. Bit of dramatic licence on your part there, Goodlife. And we only have to look to the JW for numerous examples of false prophets, don't we? There is a whole list of failed prophecies emanating from the JWs....
As far as I am concerned, every hellfire and damnation preacher, every vicars sermon invoking an eternity in hell, every drive by poster in discussion forums offering a little story that suggests that we should be grateful for - well nothing substantive really - is evidence of an imaginary god whose followers revel in seeking converts through fear. Those who preach the end days, seek notoriety, seek publicity and are most definitely attempting to scare people into believing.
You continue to use this forum as a pulpit for sermonising. You refuse to engage with criticism, or comment or discuss points with other posters. You continue your established pattern of intellectual dishonesty, regurgitating unattributed turgid prose from watchtower.
The worldview you offer is unappealing, unevidenced and irrational. I can think of no redeeming features at all.
If you were a doorstep JW, you would start sermonising before the householder had fully opened the door, hectoring them with vapid utterings from Watchtower. If they asked you a question, you would ignore it, and preach at them again, with yet another irrelevant verse.I think you could singlehandly boost the numbers of self-professed atheists as a consequence of your visits.

Goodlife, //You have observed the hypocrisy of religion have you not…..,//
I certainly have observed the hypocrisy of religion, and none more obvious than in you. I’ve asked you several times to tell me what happened at Easter, but so far you have failed to respond. So much for the accuracy of the bible. Stop preaching, Goodlife. You’re spreading lies.

Goodlife what you and the rest of them say has no relevance to people's lives, they don't care one jot - there's your problem kid, it's not the message, it's the relevance.
Even if my some chance what you say is true it may as well not be, knocking on doors, pasting stuff about God's love, blah blah, faith, blah, even if it was proved tomorrow that there was a God, do you think it would be the biggest thing in most people's lives? No, we'd all still have to brush our teeth, go to work, have lunch, put some charge in the phone.
Religion was soooo last millenia, this is why Buddhism for instance is thriving nowadays, it's messages are timeless - whereas you my boy with the miracles and creation are just being increasingly ignored. Adapt or die - evolution at work.
