Just though I'd share this video and see if anyone found it as beautiful as I did.

I loved it, it made me laugh. Pity he had to use the f word so much but I suppose he was illustrating his points. I haven't noticed many women adhering to the letter of the bible, even if they knew it was there. I know I never did.

Naomi - Thank you for your input and of course as always you are right. I am at a loss as to what has happened here. The only person that was really offended used language much like that contained in the video. I therefore conclude that it wasn't the presentation in the video that offended but the content. Is that a fair conclusion to make?
From what I took of Modellers comments he seemed to think that the presentation was crass and boorish and would not persuade a theist even though it was factual. I happen to agree with him. The simple fact is that in my experience nothing will persuade theists that they are wrong and that certainly wasn't my intention with this post.
I have read and re-read my comment at 13.08 and can't see how I could have made myself clearer. People convey what they want to say in a variety of different ways. From the gently persuasive to the vitriolic. There is no right or wrong way providing the information is correct.
I can't and won't be bullied or made to feel guilty over posting what I and apparently others enjoy. It's all grist to the mill and all adds weight to the argument.
It's irrelevant I know but the person who made this video has over 44,000 subscribers including myself. I am also subscribed to an English Professor with over 70,000 subscribers who makes very detailed and detatched videos on the same subject.
It seems that, unlike some, I am prepared to gather my information wherever I can.
This may be because I am late to the subject and I am soaking this stuff up like a sponge.
Anyway thanks again for the comment. I respect yours and others contributions to these arguments and add them to my knowledge.

Ironic really – but claimed ‘offence’ in an instance like this really amounts to an objection to justifiable criticism that cannot be countered. Nothing more. ;o

Perhaps we should get back to the subject matter. What the presenter says is true. Every Abrahamic religion – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - deems women to be inferior to men. All of it emanates directly from the bible, and quite ridiculously, as we have seen, women who cling to these religions not only accept it, but often take umbrage when it’s pointed out to them, completely ignoring the fact that this book was written by misogynist men living in a society practically - but not quite totally - unrecognisable in today’s world. Crazy!
It's not his choice of words, I don't find swearing offensive. It's his shouty manner.
People are objecting primarily to the style of the presentation, it seems to me, which is understandable I suppose - Not sure how much attention I would pay to someone shouting through a megaphone at Speakers Corner, or whatever :)

I think the fundamental point he is making is perfectly true and difficult for theists to answer though- all theists, not just christian, although he is using biblical references - since contained with both the OT and NT are several mysogynistic and patriarchal verses which clearly state that, biblically speaking, women should consider themselves subjects and chattels of men. Indeed, several of these verses attribute the fall of man the introduction of sin and mankinds mortality entirely to women.

So for a woman to embrace Christianity (and the other abrahamic religions, come to that), she has presumably either to agree with those sentiments, which is just sad, or she has to ignore those verses - which is blatant cherry-picking, a frequent assessment and complaint of those of us who are not religious who resent religions taking on the mantle of " the religion of peace and love". assuming the right to object to progressive cultural developments such as equality for all, and presuming the primary authority and right to lecture the rest of us on moral and cultural values
Lol chrisgel, I found it quite unpleasant to watch but realistic, humorous in places and factual.

and what Atheists have been saying for many years, God hates women!!! yet Woman just cherry pick over these issues and ignore them.

I for one do not understand why?
