Birdie@ Definition of truth - The Hebrew term ʼemeth′, often rendered “truth,” may designate that which is firm, trustworthy, stable, faithful, true, or established as fact.
Certainly your definition of truth would be different from mine. I adhere to the truth of the Bible and if more people did so, there would not be so many different religious lies.
Jesus himself said, “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31, 32). To know something also means to have appreciation because “what is known” is of value or importance to one who knows. Because it is my way of life, and over 7 million worldwide would agree with me, we can say we know the “truth”. We are no longer enslaved to the religions of this world.
Whether you agree or not is up to you, you have the same opportunity as everyone else.

I notice that the Beeb head - I wondered if it were a Muslim giving the Christians hell for not knowing their own religion - is planning a prog on pilgrimage (important in one religion - give ya one guess ) which is not central in the Protestant religion.
You Proddies dont have a compulsion to visit Lourdes and crawl up the main street on your knees do you ? Let alone sing - Holy Mary mudder of God !
I thought pilgrimages stopped when the images were smashed - only er 500 y ago.

Ratter - you might at least have quoted Polonius which has the same meaning -
This above all: to thine ownself be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Hey arent you impressed that the Royal marine who is being court-martialled, quoted the same play - shuffle off this mortal coil - Hamlet again as he shot the fella ? er on camera (his only mistake)
talk about educated grunts.....

Would you call that a successful attack on false religion. No,Jesus Christ said: The truth will set you free. (John 8:32)
Falsehood cannot make one free. But because of the desire for social approval, the desire to please the crowd.
You lot accept many doctrines without testing them for truthfulness. Because it is easier to go along with the crowd than to explain to the crowd why one cannot go along with it.
The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed, in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

Like almost everybody else, you respect your name. You should do so, for your name means you.
And your Maker made you that way, with that quality of self-respect. In this regard we image Him, for he too has self-respect.
He respects his own name. We have reason to appreciate this fact, for we remember the Ten Commandments that he gave to the people of King Solomon. In the Third Commandment thereof he said: “You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way.”—Ex. 20:7. so your day will come.

You forgot some stuff. You forgot to use allegedly, for a start, since their is no evidence to support any of these claims you make. You state faith as fact, when in fact your faith is faith without any evidence.
