The Pope’S Groupies?
68 Answers
//Pope Francis was mobbed by a group of overexcited nuns, let out from their convents during his visit to Naples.
Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe could be heard through the microphone urging restraint and making lighthearted commentary in a Neapolitan accent.
“Sisters . . . Later. . . . well would you look at that. And these are the cloistered ones. Just imagine the non-cloistered ones,” he said, provoking laughter among the crowd gathered in the cathedral.
“They are going to eat him! Sisters . . sisters!” //

The Roman Catholic church usually presents such a dour image, I found it rather refreshing that one of its representatives, together with a large gathering of the faithful, found humour in the situation. Even the pope seemed quite amused – after his initial alarm! Oh well, each to his own I suppose.

Indeed he does, perhaps he needs some guidance;
'Charity and Care
Sisters of the faith fulfil the roles of caregivers and humanitarians, offering services to those in need. They play many roles -- serving in soup kitchens, volunteering in nurseries and helping to build programs and housing for the poor. Additionally, nuns offer counselling for young mothers, female convicts and other women seeking spiritual advice. Whether in hospitals or in monasteries, nuns often care for the sick and pray for healing. Each convent tries to better their community in unique ways to reflect the charity that Jesus Christ preached and lived during his life on earth. Some convents have even constructed free community centres such as public libraries and halfway houses.'
