He has said that he wants to be the first British Prime Minister
who is an atheist. He also claims he would be the first Jewish PM.

I'm not sure he is correct on either?

Not quite right. Judaism is rather more than a faith. Like Islam, it’s a complete way of life, but unlike Islam or Catholicism, Judaism doesn’t seek converts, preferring to retain its ethnicity.

Regardless of nationality, Jews in the main do not interbreed with anyone other than another Jew. Jews are born to Jews and so regardless of their history and geographical location, their culture has survived. Jews may consider themselves to be atheists and there are quite a few who consider themselves to be Christians. Nevertheless, they remain Jews.

Naomi24/Zacs-Master/Khandro - Thanks for your very rude and sarcastic replies. Well I can inform you that I am on medication - anti depressants to be precise. The job I loved as a support worker helping older people stay in their own homes came to an end 18 months ago due to budget cuts and I was left with the lovely job of visiting the old peoples homes to remove their panic alarm systems as this funding had also been cut. I then found that I was unable to claim any benefits after years of paying into the system. My wife left me for her boss. I'm now rebuilding my life but barely scraping by on what I earn as a Care Worker. Thanks a lot Cameron. It will take a decade to repair the horrors the coilition has done but Milliband is the man to rebuild this county mark my words.

handyguy, I think you’ll find that the panic alarms you’re talking about are funded by local councils. I don't know where you live but I checked out your claim that funding is being cut and found one such example in Leicester which is run by Labour. Perhaps the electorate should have voted Conservative.

Yep.....a lot of care comes down to local councils - in Cornwall, a lot of independent/liberal councils - cut the care and support to those who need it, such as in leaving hossie or dementia, in favour of beautification of major tourist towns.....now that makes sense.
