Islam apologists like to claim that it is tiny extreme minority of Muslims that are a problem. They are very badly mistaken. He makes some interesting points and puts them in a clear manner; but I think he is too sure that most folk hold no respect for the whole of the religion rather than towards the extremist minority who are the problem. Admittedly he does mention that the majority are not like that, but his remarks are still directed towards the religion, which all Muslims accept by definition. One of the other strengths of western society is the tolerance it tries to have towards those who share different viewpoints; and this includes the right to belong to the religion of one's choice without being disrespected for it.

Islam is fascism. Fascism needs to be put in its place.

Offence is taken not given. The problem is with those who take offence.
One of my favourite Australian Prime Ministers, Paul Keating, referred to the Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammed, as a "recalcitrant". Mahathir took offence and demanded an apology.
Keating's apology comprised of "regret that Mahatihir took offence". It is one of the reasons that I like Keating.

OG //One can not reasonably take offence unless it is offered in the first place. //
Rubbish. Some people set themselves up to take offence. Many muslims are offended by a woman being unaccompanied on the street, especially if she is not completely covered. Is it her duty to avoid offending them?
Personally I find the misogynist and paedophilic attitudes of Islam extremely offensive. So are they being overly offensive or am I too sensitive?

OG //I suggest you discuss it with them and come to a conclusion. //
I have discussed it with Muslims. We cannot reach agreement. Despite their blatant discrimination against women they continue to claim that Islam does not promote sexism.
OG //Meanwhile probably not a good argument to call common sense rubbish.//
Your argument is not common sense. Without those who spoke out against all forms of discrimination, thus offending the bigots, we in the west would still be keeping slaves, persecuting homosexuals and unmarried mothers and treating women as possessions.
