I wasn't aware of that Gromit!

Well, there must be nil returns where I live.

Need Goodlife to elaborate on how the monitoring works/targets etc.
Once they become members of the congregation they are called 'Kingdom Publishers' and are obliged to spend so many hours per week knocking on doors.

Yes,that's right Jackdaw but I'm curious to ascertain what happens with the output of collected figures especially those who do not hit their expected targets.
No surprises here.

I think I've said this before, but anyway.
I invited JWs into my house to talk as I was interested in religion and wanted to be a part of something.
I went off them when the woman said she had to apologise to the congregation of Kingdom Hall for having a child while not married.
I was a single mother and was not going to apologise for having my child, so that was the end of that.
That is absolutely shocking, Birdie. I never knew they were that bad. Talk about preaching the gospel! I have bookmarked your post for future reference.
My experience of JWs is different from Birdie's, Jackdaw. The vast majority of JWs I knew (not the puppeteers) were very decent people.
MOST JWs I knew...
No doubt they are, but it's what happens when you are in their clutches that matters.

@ birdie

An account of gross immorality which reflects the insidious side of the sect. Can't have been easy writing that so thanks for sharing that with us.

Still no sign of Goodlife yet :(
Birdie 1971, what reason did they give your grandmother for not wanting her at kingdom hall. I can't believe it was because she ran out of her life savings.

I'm sorry about your Grandmother. It's not that I don't believe what you said; I just find it hard to believe ' they' JWs, would be so callous, after supposedly following the ways of Christ. I do know some JW's personally, and they certainly don't come across like that. Although, the ordinary run of the mill followers are mostly decent people. Maybe it's the hierarchy, elders etc, that call the shots. Anyway, I feel disgusted and angry if they did this to your Grandmother.

vesute-ennemi@ I can assure you that no active Jehovah's Witness will plant a bomb or behead/execute anyone. They adhere to the command that they love their neighbour - and before anyone comments on that point - it means that they would not do anything to harm another person/s.

gromit@//If you leave the congregation, no one will talk to you. //

Where did you get that idea from? If someone decides to leave the congregation there is no reason not to talk to them.

//They are deluded. //

No way. They ecamine the faith carefully using the scripture. Everyday world events are now proving the Bible true. Even to the fact that more and more people are not interested/atheistism/evolutists.

//They try to deal with child abuse within the church and not involve the Police //
Totally wrong. They are morally & scriptually responsible to report all such happenings to the authorities. But they also do deal with the matter in the congregation in removing and no longer able to call JW.

//hey started to notice it was flawed and did not make any sense. //

Again wrong totally. As understanding becomes more clear(as with any subject - ie science, medicine) adjustments made.
cloverjo@//I think I've said this before, but anyway.

I think you got wrong end of stick here. Whatever a person do before become a JW is irrelevant. I know of ones who been divorced, had been homosecuals and had children without marriage and they still became JWs. It is what you do after that important.
What you do before is between you and God. You apologise to him not to people.
Birdie@ //These lowlifes took almost every last penny from my (now terminally ill) Grandmother. //

No one is forced to give money to JWs, Unlike the Mormons who have to devote 10% to church. Any money she had she would give herself of her own free will. Contributions not taken, donations given freely. I been witness for many years and only give when I want.

Many of my friends dont give lots, only when want to.

//
When she told them that she could no longer give them any more money they dropped her completely. She was told that she wasn't welcome at the Kingdom Hall and that she should stay away. She was devastated. //

That I cannot believe. Sorry. Are you absolutely sure this was JWs.? There are many many JWs who have absolutely nothing and they are taken care of.
There are even nursing homes in some parts of world for those who have no home or anyone to care for them and no money. They not left destitute.

JWs would never tell anyone to stay away from Kingdom Hall. All meetings are free and open to public.

//Since she has become terminally ill, I've leave it to the readers to guess just how many of these scum-bags have since contacted her and/or visited. I'll give you a clue. It's a single figure 'number'.//

Again I cant believe this. Again know many who have been terminally ill b ut have never been left alone or without visitors.
Gromit//They have report cards to fill in and targets to meet. Their progress (or lack of it) is monitored and grand statists produced
There reward isn't on your estate, the reward is a good seat near the radiator in heaven.//

No. No. No. Asw JWs dont expect to go to heaven that is completely false.
No targets to meet. And I am expert so know for true.
jackdaw//They are also very cunning. They usually have a smartly dressed child in tow which makes people less likely to be rude to them.//

No.No.No. I have no child. My friends no child. If they have child be their own and people still be rude if their attitude is such they are.
