After your Bible Sites thread, which was actually an interesting post, this comes as a great disappointment. Neither you, nor your man, understand what Richard Dawkins is talking about. I really don't know why you listen to such rot - or set such store by it - but you do.
n. OK, Dawkins aside, this speech to the UN may have seemed absurd in 1974, but does it today?;
“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”
– Houari (Mohamed) Boumedienne, President of Algeria, 1965 – 1978, in a 1974 speech at the UN

Atheism is growing all over the world Khandro, as people become more educated.
All religions are invented, by man. They are always based on an irrational interpretation of illogical events. They are aimed at semi-educated, credulous people, who lack an ability to look at events, with a proper, robust intellectual rigour ....how else would you explain the rise of the truly ludicrous new religion of Scientology ?
Almost all these "new" religions were invented and established in America, Scientology along with Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Christian Scientists, etc, etc. This speaks volumes.
But its religion that is on the run, not Atheism.

As I said above, set aside the Dawkins reference, it is I agree confused, but I want to draw attention to the demographics taking place around us which is far from coincidental and should, I believe, be of concern us all;

I am a great believer in communication, within limits.
One of those limits is avoiding the assumption that because a man can operate a video camera, and string a sentence together, he can communicate something meaningful and useful.
This video is a shining example of why not everyone should have free unfettered access to modern communication technology.
The facile assumption that every atheist parent raises an atheist child falls down at the first hurdle of minimal examination.
Similarly, the notion that all children born notionally Muslim will automatically grow to teach that faith to their children is again seriously flawed.
So what it boils down to is yet another Christian trotting out the usual 'I understand because I believe, and you don't, poor sad you ...' line.
That's seven and a half minutes I won't get back, but being able to advise my views has made me feel better about it.
