No Cloverjo. I have been known to post the odd serious question, and this is one of them.
In Mamyalynne's link it states that Jesus was circumcised. But men were created well before he send his spirit down in the form of Jesus.

So who did him before he created Humans? If god indeed 'emerged' into being with a short flap, did he make a mistake when he created Men!

Since man was allegedly made in the image of the Creator, it is reasonable to assume that God possesses a penis. However, since Jewish men are circumcised as a symbol of the covenant between God and Abraham, and there is no mention in the bible of that working both ways, it is also fair to assume that God’s penis remains intact.

Interestingly, several churches around the world have over the years claimed to be in possession of a very special relic – the foreskin of Jesus – and Leo Allatius, a 17th century Vatican librarian, claimed that, like Jesus, the Holy Prepuce ascended and became the rings of Saturn. That makes sense Naomi. So making Men promise to mutilate their progeny so they wouldn't look as good as the Big Guy just to elevate his ego. It must be mutilation because an 8 day old boy can hardly proclaim his servitude.

'God', so far as I understand, is sexless - gender has been assigned by a male-dominated mankind so the question is baseless. For 'Man', read 'Mankind' in my understanding and that word includes the female. Jesus was circumcised because he was born a male, Jewish baby - that's all. I cannot possibly believe that anyone, anywhere kept his foreskin.

Some African tribes do it at puberty. I remember seeing a documentary a long time ago on the Masai. Remember it well because Miss World was on TV at the same time, and I thought how much brighter and better looking the young Masai women being interviewed were than the "I want to travel and help people" girls on the other show. The Masai boys were given a lot of beer prior to the snip, and then were sent off into the bush for five or six years. This seemed an excellent arrangement - all that adolescent strop and aggression, but no-one to take it out on except each other and the occasional passing lion.

Remember once on a visit to my sister-in-law driving through Transkei and seeing the Xhosa boys after their circumcision ceremony. The whole of their bodies, face included, were covered in mud which had dried a near white in the sun.Everywhere you went you could troops of these skinny ghosts tramping along the roadside. Bought a load of avocados from one lad for a few cents, but the whole lot had gone off by the time we returned to Jo'burg.
