Question For The Religious Fundementalists
131 Answers
Would you still love God if you knew he was going to damn you to eternal torment? After all you assert that we are all born sinners and worthy of hell because God is 'righteous' and that's what we deserve.
Seems to me that the religious, for all their talk of loving God, are only loving God because they are afraid of NOT doing so.
Not been flippant here, I'm genuinely interested in why you would want to worship an entity that would torture you for an eternity if you DIDNT love him.
Thanks :-)

In other words no pre planned mentality and no “I will not agree unless it is what I believe in”.
Now first of all word "fundamental" is wrong. Would you rather have a doctor operating on you who knows fundamentals of operating proceedure or someone who is not aware of it? Perhaps you meant extremist, but still I would not agree with that as this word again depends on how and where you use it.
////After all you assert that we are all born sinners//// That is where I say that you need to study other religions yourselves instead of depending upon a handful of websites. Islam does not believe at all in that and I believe even Bible has verses nullifying this concept. Every human is answerable for his/her own actions. Then in Islam the concept of hell is not “forever”, it is a transitional somewhat like a prison where you go, serve for your bad doings and be released.
OG has already answered your question about whether it is love or fear. I believe every love has a fear factor behind it. Fear of losing that the one you love or the one who loves you.

Like every religion, there is always a get out clause. Being religious is no more than holding on to the "get out of jail free" card in Monopoly.

Yes, perhaps you are right. Why I believe so?
1 - I believe that One tear of regret (yes, just one) from the eye of someone who has done something wrong could be enough to wipe clean his whole life's sins, wrong doings etc. I call it Allah's blessing and love for his creation.
2 - You would call it a get away claus. I will let you make your own decision and mind.
