Been away. Back now. Fully expecting comments to deflate me but that's OK.
Been studying lots of stuff and my beliefs are stronger than ever.
Anyway! I notice it is quiet around here.
I will engage with anybody but not be subjected to the third degree.
I am comfortable in my faith. It rests there.
Love to you all. X

Yesterday, the Jovo's refused to knock on my front door. Maybe, theland will point me in the direction of salvation :-)
maggiebee," May I point out that Theland posted on Religion and Spirituality. "
On a question/answer site, he should expect to be questioned.
melv, tut! I told you, you're a lost cause. If the mighty JWs can't save you what hope does a one-man band like Theland have? ;o)
Theland...
//I will engage with anybody//
But you don't. Ever!
You wont even be up front and tell us what particular brand of Christianity you subscribe to.
Have a happy Sunday Theland .:-)
nailit at 11:31, absolutely right.
Well I'm glad you're back, you add interest to the site but why announce you are taking a break and then return a week later? Seems a bit me me me

Yes I believe what I believe based on the evidence as I perceive it.
And regarding the YouTube videos, although some may be dubious, it is also a forum to present expert witness for all sides.
Studying bible passages on YouTube is particularly good.
It seems my opinions are not always welcome, presented as, "banging on about it," etc.
Well who bangs on more than some atheists?
Try citing some atheist scientists and we could shoot THEM down.
The something from nothing brigade for starters.
Theland, //Studying bible passages on YouTube is particularly good. //

But going on the 'evidence' you present here, you only listen to people saying what you want to hear. What about the bible passages you don't want to hear? You, know, the ones you ignore?
//Yes I believe what I believe based on the evidence as I perceive it//
As you perceive it?? You have a bad case of confirmation bias.

//And regarding the YouTube videos, although some may be dubious, it is also a forum to present expert witness for all sides//
But you don't look at all sides do you?

//Studying bible passages on YouTube is particularly good//
I dont know what your obsession with You Tube is but its getting creepy. Actually reading the Bible in its entirety would also be good but you havnt have you?

//It seems my opinions are not always welcome, presented as, "banging on about it," etc//
Its not so much your opinions that are unwelcome but more the fact that you refuse to defend them when questioned.

//Well who bangs on more than some atheists?//
So atheists should just sit back and let the religionists on here spout their cr ap? You want to put your point of view but not let others have theirs?

//Try citing some atheist scientists and we could shoot THEM down//
Science has nothing to do with atheism.

//The something from nothing brigade for starters//
And yet you have no problem with God coming from nothing?

People ask why Theland makes these posts then doesn't get involved in debate. Could be something to do with the timing of Thelands' replies, which always seem to be after 1 a.m. Who's around at that time to get involved with anything?
Nothing to do with Thelands timing. Answerbank is open 24/7 and he can reply anytime. But he doesn't, because Theland (like other religionists on here) just wishes to preach, not debate. Just like goodlife, when he was around, post a few Bible quotes and disappear.
Quiet ridiculous.
Sorry to say this Theland, but this
is something you know we have spoken of before.
To me, the best YouTube posts are of Stephen Fry talking about God and religion in general.

Up late Baths? No, Stephen Fry just wears his secular humanist glasses and sees the world through them.
