Then he has directly contradicted his first post - so as I have asked, he needs to make his mind up, and I am happy to wait until he returns and, if he wishes, clarifies his view one way or the other.

This thread wasn’t about worming theland around his morals and biblical thought obligations
Theland as a principle with his religion doesn’t agree with abortion. But i’m sure, and from what i’ve read feel like i know for a fact he would not agree with the scenareo pit forth from Kval regarding a ten year old. I feel he may feel he can’t say that because his devotion to the bible may be scrutinised

From Woofgang: // You don't have to take the bible literally to be a Christian.... //
From andy-hughes //I quite agree, but I wonder why a regular hardcore of contributors to this site seem unable to extend that simple concept to Muslims.//
From Woofgang: //I don't know what the "rules" of Isam are and whether its a requirement to belive in the whole of the Koran.//
From me: It is. The Koran is beyond dispute and beyond criticism. It is considered to be the literal word of God and therefore beyond reproach. It is not for compromise. Therefore andy-hughes’ original suggestion is ludicrous.

The absence of the majority of Muslims marrying nine-year-old and cutting a murderous swathe through the world of non-believers rather contradicts your perception.
And that would suggest that my suggestion is not 'ludicrous' at all.

On any thread on any topic, anyone is welcome to make any statement they like - but they may be asked to expand on it, explain it, or in some cases, justify it.
I have asked Theland to do all three - but as usual, he has absented himself for a day and I expect that when he returns, he will make no reference to what he has said previously.

spath - // Theland does face scrutiny more than others. I can see why he'd rather not respond in some circumstances but you're correct, //
Let's be truthful here - Theland loves the conflict and confrontation he creates on here - if he didn't he would simply desist from doing it.
What he is also fond of doing, and he is not alone in this - is sidestepping anything he can't answer, and then carrying on as if e never said it.

Tea or coffee?
If tea the coffee drinkers will attck me.
If coffee, we'll work it out!
Honestly, I have no plot or plan to upset anybody, just try to have a conversation without being called mental, or patronised like one of my two brain cells is slowing down.
Any help here with sympathisers?
Or shot at dawn?
Oh dear!
Just realised, I will get accused of being a victim!
Drama queen, etc etc etc.
Ah well! Stir up the pot eh?

Naomi - // You clearly believe that the Koran compares to the bible in that its content is considered debatable. It isn't. //
I don't believe that at all.
What I believe that, however much you tell us that the Koran is a blueprint for life that cannot be ignored by any Muslims, millions of them do ignore vast sections of it every day - and in that sense, it is entirely similar to the Bible.

Andy-hughes, You’re making it up as you go along again. I’ve never told you that the Koran cannot be ignored. If you knew what you were talking about you would know that, metaphorically speaking, there is more than one way to skin a cat –– but you don’t. Attitudes towards the bible cannot be compared to attitudes towards the Koran.
