This year’s offering from Naomi is Silent Night, a carol that holds very personal and poignant memories for me. As before I’m posting my Carol Concert thread not only as my Christmas gift to the Christians among us, but also in memory of those ABers sadly no longer with us. Remembering my dear friend Chakka35 who died four years ago, Mikey who left us very suddenly in February, and many, many others. Please feel free to add your carol, your tribute, or anything else you feel is seasonal and appropriate.

I wish you all a very Happy Christmas. x

Because Dave loved folk songs and I want to add a wish for Fluffs Murphy who is currently making friends with Princess Merlin somewhere in the ether.

With best wishes to all for the Festive Season & with thoughts of those we miss.

Posting this one because I'm reminded that aged 8 or 9 (I think) I had to sing it in front of the pupils, teachers & parents in a packed hall. Shudder.

Took a lot of balls at that age, Lie-in-King.
Naomi - What a lovely sentiment.
My favourite is, "Oh Holy Night."
I too wish to pass on seasons greetings to all the lovely ABers who keep me afloat all year round, and I must mention three in particular, you, Naomi, Nailit, and the mysterious Mibs, who should post more often.
My love to you all.
Have a great Christmas with your families and friends.X
Theland, I have a lot of respect for you. Best wishes for Christmas.
Thank you. I'm blushing now!
Thanks for posting Sussex carol, mamya.
Murphy is dead ?
Oh no is she? Sorry to hear that
//and I must mention three in particular, you, Naomi, Nailit, and the mysterious Mibs, who should post more often//
Theland, I wish nothing but the best to you and yours. A bit of name calling etc has nothing to do with how we interact on a day to day basis here on AB.
Ive got christian friends with whom I would have the same debates (but dont) I love/respect them just the same.
Some people have mentioned O Holy Night and others Sissel Kyrkjebo, have you heard her version of the former? It's in Norwegion but perfectly and effortlessly sung.

Happy Christmas to those with us, rest peacefully abers since passed xx
Happy Solstice

just divine,
sung in German, so very beautiful

Fall on your knees and hear the angels
