Joseph is hardly likely to have a helpmate kicking about and not asked him to do anything, plus traditionally Jewish men usually took on the work of their fathers, so I'm imagining that long before he ever because known as 'the messiah' he was helping with the family business, although I fully accept that is not documented.

And Jesus was a sailor
When he walked upon the water
And he spent a long time watching
From his lonely wooden tower
And when he knew for certain
Only drowning men could see him
He said "All men shall be sailors then
Until the sea shall free them"
But he himself was broken
Long before the sky would open
Forsaken, almost human
He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone
Personally i think he was the World's first ever hippy. Long hair, beard, robe, preaching peace to all men and obviously smoked a lot of devil grass in his time. When i used to smoke it, i always thought i was the son of god :-)
