How Should True Christians View Politics?
50 Answers
Some say, ‘Religion and politics are subjects that not talk about.’ Even if you feel that way, it is in your best interest that you be informed about what is happening regarding religion and politics and how this may come to affect your own life. Further, by referring to the Bible on this matter, you will find that God has things to say about religion’s mixing in politics and about where it is leading.(2 Cor. 6:14)

I've never had the cause to use philosophy or religion as a crutch to get me through any situation. I've always relied on my own wit and guile, and common sense to get mew through and I just can't understand why others can't do the same.

Crutch is a form of self-deception that causes a person to ignore reality and prevents him from reasoning logically.
When Paul wrote to those in the congregation in Rome, he did not want them to believe in God just because he told them to. Rather, he encouraged them to consider the evidence that God is real. He wrote: “His [God] invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they [those who deny God’s authority] are inexcusable.” (Romans 1:20) Paul used a similar line of reasoning when writing his letter to the Hebrews.
Of course, every house is constructed by someone,” he said, “but he that constructed all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4)
So a true Christian Faith based on accurate knowledge of God becomes, not a crutch,.
