The universe may have always been here. But for the sake of discussion we can assume an uncaused first cause if you like. I like that because of believing in the 'Big Bang'. The uncaused cause was probably the universe (however defined) itself. Which brings us on to the definition anyway. Did the 'Big Bang' occur in one part of an existing universe, or is it the start of all that is ? Or maybe one start of many, but all we know of is this one ?
