Ouija Boards - Doorway To The Darkside Or Just An Old Board Game?
144 Answers
Have you ever tried a Ouija Board - I never have. Some years ago some friends were using one at a party but I refused to get involved. I am not religious but don't want to take any risks with those things.
Some swear that their lives have been ruined by Ouija boards, some scientists say that they work through the ideomotor effect where we move things subconsciously, other say they are a harmless board. I have no idea but would never do one after some of the stories I have heard.
What do you think?

Years ago, with a previous partner, and a couple from 2 doors away, we
did a home made one on a glass table so nothing going on underneath. We got a few answers then someone asked "Is there another way to do this?" the answer came back as 'leave glass alone' we did and out of contact with any of us the glass continued to answer any question asked, it was an interesting evening but we never went back there.
I have been mocked before for this but I was there, I was sober, it happened.
All this ruined life stuff is nonsense. If one is daft enough to be affected by trying to contact the no longer living then their mind would have issues at some point in their life anyway.
Yes I have used Ouija boards many times in the past. No reason not to. Gives you experience, and evidence for you to analyse. You draw your own conclusions, but can't if you believe scare stories and run a mile from them.
Suggest you stop listening to urban myths and nervous Nellys.

Ouija boards were invented as a sort of party game and were never intended to be taken seriously. I've known loads of people who've used them (including some of my pupils in my teaching days, who often experimented with one in my classroom during the lunch break) and nothing terrible has ever happened to any of them.
They can be entertaining if you're larking around with a few mates but they can't be used to contact the 'spirit world', simply because it doesn't exist.
