All through the Bible (for those that have bothered to read it) God continuously intervenes and interrupts mans free will. He hardens peoples hearts so that they will not do as requested. He sends deceiving spirits to, well, deceive people! He allows Satan to appear as an angel of light to also deceive people.
He regularly intervenes on behalf of his chosen people in the Old Testament and thwarts his enemies. He regularly kills enemies (in spite of their choice and free will) and sometimes even kills those that root for him.
And to top it of he totally ignores those that ask him for help...
