Quite aside from anything else, you are still setting far too much store by the people who are speaking, and far too little by what they are actually saying. Evaluate the evidence for yourself, if you can -- what one PhD says, or a Professor, or even a Nobel Laureate or two, means nothing. They may be right or they may be wrong, but who they are is irrelevant to that....

Theland, you actively search for (perceived) flaws in evolution but when questioned about creationism cannot even say if you believe in a young earth or an old earth?
I wasnt trying to win points or take cheap shots and yet you get all defensive, all because I asked you a simple question about your beliefs regarding creation.
Unbelievable!
Question Author
Pixie - Your example began with microbes, and ended with microbes. So what's the Point?
Theland, you asked me //what kind of evidence for creation would you accept? //

I replied, //Something ... anything. //

Go on then. The ball is in your court.
"Quack quack" - Bamm . . . the universe!

One at a time.
Theland, my point was that we have all seen evolution working in our every day lives. Why don't you believe it, or that it is possible over a much longer time?
Question Author
Pixie - I answered this earlier.
Micro evolution I understand, as you do. That is what you witness nowadays.
Microbes becoming immune to antibiotics is micro evolution as is animal breeding to acquire the desired outcomes.
Sheep with more wool, cows with more milk or meat, the point being, you end up with the same species you began with, but with different characteristics. But, there are no examples of cat to dog evolution, or anything else for that matter.

Pixie - How can a first cause be uncaused?
Think about it yourself.
Unless there is infinite regression, there is indeed an first cause.
The mistaken thinking is that God is like us, and needs a cause to begin to exist.
The very nature of God is that He is eternal, outside of and beyond time, time being something God also created.
Within God is the cause and reason for His own existence.
If this was not true, then you would be left thinking, a god created God, and he was created by another, and another, and another and so on and so forth.
Now do you appreciate that?
God is completely *Other* to us.
You disagree that the Big Bang come from nothing yet you are happy that God did?
Question Author
Nailit - A young or old Earth?
Our scientists using reverse sequencing tell us the universe is 13.8 bn years old.
But ask science how stars are formed, and the speculation begins.
The same with planet formation.
Ask where Earths water came from and you run into problems, or an answer that it came from the Oort cloud, something that has never been observed.
So, is it any wonder that there is controversy over the age of the earth?
What do you think?
Do you trust the scientists who rely so much on speculation?
Question Author
Corbyloon - With respect, think it through, and if you can, suggest an alternative.
Question Author
Corbyloon - God did not COME from nothing, God simply IS.
Question Author
Mibs. - I am surprised by your post.
Do you have any sensible thoughts on the subject, or are you standing with the crowd to join in the mocking
I am truly interested.
Did God exist prior to the creation of the universe? If so, what was God doing, what was God's purpose?
Theland, you say your God simply IS. You state God created everything, if so, God created evolution because whether you admit it or not, evolution exists, so Your God must have created it. By denying evolution you are saying in effect, God didn't create everything.
Question Author
Vulcan -
Have you read the links I posted?
Yes micro evolution exists. No argument there.
Macro evolution does not. Check the evidence.
What I cannot understand is why a God would create beings that were not the finished article in the first place and make so many varieties within species.

What is your evidence against macro evolution?
Question Author
Naomi - If you have any scientific evidence to offer on the subject, please post it and I'll be pleased to read it.
If, however, your only wish is to display your ignorance and ill manners as you have a few posts back, then please don't duck the issue, but keep your insults to yourself, and put a sock in it, as you are becoming rather tedious now.
Question Author
Corbyloon - If you believe in macro evolution, you should be providing the evidence for me. Not the other way around.
However, if I can find them, I will point you to some evolutionary scientists who have now realised that their assumptions have been wrong to years.
