Dr Ravi Zacharias has died from cancer.
He will be very much missed by those hungering for solid Christian teaching.
Rest in peace Ravi.

AH, //Why would anyone 'hunger' for any kind of teaching?// To remedy ignorance. //'it's all in the Bible' -and I can read - why would I need someone else's interpretati on which is no more or less valid than mine?// For your opinion to be valid you would need to read the bible, as Dr Ravi Zacharias has. You haven’t. Therefore his opinion is more valid than yours....

AH, //I think you are aware that I was referring specifically to the need for teaching about Christianity, when Theland and others have advised more than once that the answers are contained in the bible.//
I assume you took various subjects at school, but rather than read books on those subjects you relied upon those who had read the books to teach you.
// There you go again with your lofty assumptions that you know what I have read, or not read….You cannot possibly know if I have read the bible or not, so your assertion is nonsense.//
Loftiness or otherwise is irrelevant. To someone who has read the bible your posts very clearly demonstrate that you haven’t.
//Where did you go to school - Mallory Towers?????//
Something like that.

As a child, I did, but as an adult, I educate myself.
But again, my point is not about education per se, it is specifically about education in Christianity, and to repeat once again, since you appear to have missed my point, Theland and others have pointed out more than once that 'the answers' are to be found in the bible, and my point remains - why would anyone need any 'education' about the word of God, if it is indeed, all in the bible?

Well once again you are entirely wrong, and once again you have no way of knowing what I have, or have not read.
But in the interests of avoiding your pointless and unfounded nonsense, let me state for your benefit that I have read the bible, more than once - and you cannot accurately interpret whether I have or not from what I post on here.
That's down to your own interpretation, which not for the first time, is wrong.
You are entitled to challenge each and every point I make on here - you are not entitled to post untruths about me.

It's precisely what he does. He could court controversy and argument in an empty room. I can hardly believe this is a RIP thread and a mod puts a wrecking ball through it and derails it with his carping and sniping. //
Yet again you need reminding that all Mods are AB'ers first and foremost, and one status is not connected to the other.
I am not 'carping and sniping', I am raising legitimate questions which are open to discussion - feel free to join in if you wish.

Yes ... I do.... but carry on. //
I am intrigued.
If you 'know' what I have or have not read, and I am not talking about your 'interpreting' from my posts, which is obviously not the same thing - but you actually 'know', then I am genuinely curious to hear how you came by that information.
I believe you do not and cannot 'know' and that your persistence in insisting that you do is nothing more than a fatuous wind-up - but as always, I am happy to be disproved, if you can do that ...
