The Return Of The God Hypothesis.

If science puts up barriers and refuses to follow truth wherever it leads, then it is left floundering for answers to the big questions, on the creation of the universe, the creation of life from inert chemicals, and the impossibility of Darwin's theory of a sing!e cell ancestor.
Do you consider yourself open minded about such matters and not constricted by a naturalistic worldview?

Theland - // Andy, for somebody who has no interest and nothing to say, you say an awful lot. // I never said I had no interest, I said I didn't care in looking for 'answers' which is not the same thing. Nothing to say? Are you serious????? ??

Since when has science done that? Just because it hasn't found the "truth" you crave, it doesn't mean its obstructing fact. It seems that you are the narrow minded one in your belief that evolution is impossible. Whatever science discovers, if it doesn't suit your view of the world, you will disbelieve it.

True.
Do you have any evidence to support your assertion that 'science' does such a thing?

Theland - // Yes regarding the creation of the universe, take your pick.
Krause, Carroll, All Khalili, Dawkins and Hawking to name just a few.
None come anywhere near an explanation. //
That's scientists, not 'science'.
If the individuals concerned have not yet found an 'answer', that simply means they have not found it yet, it does not indicate, as you would love to believe, that an answer does not exist.
// How about you?
Any ideas? //
You have a short memory Theland - please allow me to remind you yet again, I have no 'ideas' because I have better things to do with my time than spend all day every day wondering about the creation of the universe.
I don't care!

How about this German palaeontologist who was curator of a museum espousing Darwinism?

Theland - // Andy Hughes - I am delighted to learn that you don't care.
Please do me a favour and do not post on this thread, as I do care, and I am genuinely interested in those who are prepared to offer a friendly and genuine opinion.
Your absence will be much appreciated, not least by me. //
I will be delighted to continue to post on any thread I see fit.
If you continue to ask the same question in different ways over and over and over again, I will post responses when I feel like it.
If that is a problem for you, or anyone else you appear to think you speak for, then that is exactly that, a problem for you.

//Naomi, no science asks for unquestioning acceptance.//
No Theland, Religion asks for unquestioning acceptance, or rather demands it.
Science is an ongoing learning experience. People may not fully know about certain things, but who's to say they won't one day find out.
And on that day, the folk who will disbelieve and try to discredit science will be weaeing the robes of their religion. The true barrier wielders.

Theland, I believe you know - and know quite well - some of the bits of science... these tend to be the bits that back up your 'so there, it must have been God who created the universe' stuff. You have frequently disagreed when other equally valid points are raised, and have often dismissed things that totally contradict your assertions. I am open-minded - but not open-minded enough to believe you just because you've found four, say, points made by scientists that appear to confirm your thinking.
