Theland, come quick! Sparkly wants a scrap!
11:44 Wed 26th Aug 2020
But believers are off to a better place when they have no more life. So for them, perhaps it doesn't matter.
//So take the knee and show some respect!//

Respect has to be earned Theland, and some of the things you post are far from being worthy of earning that respect.
My dear, departed, beloved Dad believed in God and I admired and respected him for it. He didn't push it down our throats, it was just his quiet belief. Me, I'm not too sure about God, but I believe in an awful lot of other things.
I believe ,nothing wrong in doing so but I never get involved in threads about religion ( only this un :0)
Never discuss politics or religion....hang on, there be no AB then !!
Are you realist? Most of you would like think you are.
A realist tries to be guided by provable facts. He wishes to avoid being deluded by unrealistic dreams or impractical ideas.

The truth is, the world situation today is out of human control. Politicians cannot control the nuclear arms race or the spreading pollution threat. Civic leaders cannot control the crime explosion. Economists cannot solve the problems of inflation or declining production, and life for hundreds of millions of people is degraded and hopeless.and now... the pandemic.
The shocking truth is, there is a well-founded doubt as to whether the human race will survive much longer.

The Bible foretold this situation, and showed the main reason for it. It says that men would be “lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.” (2 Timothy 3:1-4) Is it any wonder the world is in such a bad situation when it is filled with people like that? Surely, things will never improve until people improve. Now, science cannot improve people’s nature. Can anyone? Yes, God can.

If the world were full of people following godly principles (not people who merely claim to be Christians), then most of today’s problems would be solved. And that is exactly what is going to happen. “Just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more . . . But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” (Psalm 37:10, 11).
Is it an unrealistic hope? Well, we know that men are ruining the environment of the earth and are close to destroying the human race. Hence, relying on men is unrealistic, and you lot on here well you haven't learnt what life is about.

More ridiculous quotes.
I believe what the old man said. Though I know that there's no lord above.
//I believe what the old man said. Though I know that there's no lord above.//

Philip Oakey: A prophet and a sage.
And a stupid haircut.
goodlife,
\\ If the world were full of people following godly principles (not people who merely claim to be Christians), then most of today’s problems would be solved.//
how do you account for this?
World population (approx) @ 2020. 7,633,292,332
world religion (approx) @ 2020. 5,994,943,815
ungodly (in your eyes) 1,638,338,517.
So who exactly is causing all the mayhem?
Vulcan, According to the 8 million or so Jehovah’s Witnesses in the world it’s not them - it’s the others. That's why the rest of us won't be sharing eternity with them. Good news as far as I'm concerned.
At least you and other will know, because the Bible was not written for nothing but written for sake.
Good life makes a good point.
Politicians spew platitudes about how they will look after us by solving the massive problems we confront, as if there is a road back to normality.
There isn't. We have crossed the Rubicon, there is no going back, and the problems the world faces are beyond solvable.
Not only will the present problems persist, but will get worse, and then new problems will come along as well to add to the mix.
Tomorrow won't be much different to today, and the day after the same, bit slowly and surely, like being attacked by a python, the grip will intensify, and little by little, the worlds problems will intensify.
Added to the mix of chronic problems, will be new acute problems, unexpected and unforseen, lime a sudden hit from a bomb.
Its really funny listening to politicians and the chattering classes, asserting positivity, and so many taking comfort in their comforts and baubles.
A crash, bigger than anything else is coming, with shortages and a breakdown in society as we drift further into anarchy.
Am I deluded?
No!
I see more clearly now than I have ever done before.
And TL's alter-ego speaks at 11:45.

Note the quality of English after the first two sentences, which were corrupted just enough to make it look like it's not the main language. Same pattern all the time. Wake up, folks.

Where's the insect tonight ?
AZ - Do you ever get dizzy sitting on that high horse?
No, just tired of your BS.
SparklyKid nailed it.
Theland, you're like the voice of doom. What joy do you and your cohorts actually bring to this world? None that I can see. And this is all because you are afraid to face the inevitable ..... death. You carry on living in gloom if that's what you want but do us all a favour and stop inflicting your misery on the rest of us. It's enough to give anyone the hump!
We're doomed!
AZardoz, //And TL's alter-ego speaks at 11:45.//

Theland isn't Goodlife.
