I believe those who died before the founder of the Jehovah’s Witness cult surfaced will be resurrected, schooled in the Jehovah’s Witness beliefs and then judged at Armageddon.
Correction. ‘I’ don’t believe that. I believe that’s what Jehovah’s Witnesses believe.
//I believe those who died before the founder of the Jehovah’s Witness cult surfaced will be resurrected, schooled in the Jehovah’s Witness beliefs and then judged at Armageddon//

Its all of a bit of a mish-mash, pic 'n' mix.
Different Bible writers (particularly NT writers) had different theologies. Thats why there are so many different beliefs, doctrines and churches out there.

Take your pick and to hell with those that disagree with you,
(Whatever hell is...Eternal destruction, conscious eternal destruction, seperation from God, annihilation, universalism, etc. The Bible teaches them all, depending on what text you read)) Bible Believers cant even agree upon what happens when we die.
Much less on how we are supposed to live.

The Gospel writers had a very different Jesus than Paul.
Paul had a very different Jesus than the John of Revelation.
And the John of Revelation had a very different Jesus than the john of the suppossed later epistles of the NT.
(ad infinitum)

Take ur pick (of Bible quotes) and take your belief.
Doesnt make it right does it?

As a teenager, I was taught that the Bible was a unique book...that it was the work of 66 books, telling the work of over 40 authors over 1500 yrs and yet all telling the same story.

Turned out to be no such thing.
Took me 30+ years to realise.
fiveleaves - // People need to be born again into the Kingdom of Heaven. All other religions are frankly a waste of time and effort, and will ultimately get you nowhere. The only way to God, and the only way to true peace and joy is through Jesus //

That's entirely logical - to you.

But the caveman who worships the sun thinks exactly the same way for the same reasons - he believes he is correct as well.

If you do your home work you will see Able was the first witness.
I don’t set too much store by Paul, Goodlife, but I always thought God was having one of many mean moments with his early preferences. After all, a gift is a gift and it’s the thought that is supposed to count .. don’t you agree?
No problem for me, I'm happy to pop downstairs. At least it is warm.

Hope you haven't forgotten about the 42 pages goodlife.
Never a straight answer, Vulcan. He's off on another tangent - wrapped up with Abel now.
Very true naomi, disappointing but not totally unexpected. Having made a statement, goodlife now believes it's true and doesn't need verification.

Due to believing that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching,” Jehovah’s witnesses follow the advice of James 1:22, where it says: 22 However, become doers of the word+ and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer,+ this one is like a man looking at his own face* in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, and he goes away and immediately forgets what sort of person he is. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law+ that belongs to freedom and continues in it has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work; and he will be “happy” in what he does.

So you know you do up build my Faith.
Goodlife at 13.19 - if you are going to patronize me, check you can spell Abel properly first.

You are supposed to be the authority, not being able to spell a four letter name correctly could leave you looking foolish.
Probably autocorrect, Andy. GL, what made you decide to believe it?
Vulcan, he enjoys being enigmatic. Well, that’s one word for it. :o)

Look what Psalm says,

14 The senseless one has said in his heart:
“There is no Jehovah.
They have acted ruinously, they have acted detestably in [their] dealing.
There is no one doing good.
2 As for Jehovah, he has looked down from heaven itself upon the sons of men,
To see whether there exists anyone having insight, anyone seeking Jehovah.
3 They have all turned aside, they are [all] alike corrupt,
There is no one doing good,
Not even one.
4 Have none of the practicers of what is hurtful got knowledge,
Eating up my people as they have eaten bread,
They have not called even upon Jehovah.
5 There they were filled with a great dread,
For Jehovah* is among the generation of the righteous one.

6 The counsel of the afflicted one YOU people would put to shame,
Because Jehovah is his refuge.

Like all is saying is was not written for nothing, which you find when the day come.

That all for the time being bye bye for now, keep safe and well
pixie - // Probably autocorrect, Andy. //

It probably was - and I have been a victim more than once, and i would never normally pick anyone up for that, or grammar or spelling.

But, as I say, if you are going to patronise people, you need to be right every time, or you look like a pompous fool - and when I am being patronised, I am delighted to stick a pin in the balloon.
Oh dear. You haven’t answered my question, Goodlife. Strange that whenever god’s moral compass is called into question the religious fall silent.
My, how they do scurry when you flip on the light switch.
