Two main reasons.
I. Personal experience of God. When I accepted Jesus I knew from the start that something had changed. I felt real joy, knew forgiveness and my thinking changed. I have had an ongoing relationship with God which sustains me.
2 Believing the Bible. Somebody has already quoted Romans. There are other verses I could choose. One of the best known is John ch3 v16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

fiveleaves; I have a problem with your use of personal experience as a way to persuade me. There are people who believe that they hear voices telling them to kill. There are people who believe that God tells them the real, one and only version of truth. There are people who believe that they are Jesus or Napoleon. Which of these people am I supposed to trust? I am not prepared to base my life on other people's unsupported beliefs; they could be hallucinating or be mentally ill.
fiveleaves, I do find you rational enough to reply to. But how do you know that 'for every one person who thinks they are Jesus or Napoleon there will be 10,000 who have had a genuine encounter with God'? That is an assertion that has no supporting evidence. Does that not worry you a little? Surely you cannot know that what you say is true?
I can say that none of you know your Bible because hell in the Bible is man's grave, and with time, it been week, the there is no torture once you're dead you're dead, and I could say a lot more, but don't believe the Bible anyway you are very poor, you got nothing to offer to anybody, not even with those Ukraine, which you see

Definition: The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohlʹ and its Greek equivalent haiʹdes, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek geʹen·na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished (and some believe that this is with torment) so your your choice.
