Is God To Blame?
40 Answers
Good thinking people everywhere ask this question. And with good reason, because for centuries the human family has suffered so much from horrible wars, food shortages, poverty, crime and disease. Injustice and oppression have caused a great amount of grief too. Quite often, innocent people suffer through no fault of their own. Is all of this proof that God does not care about what happens to us?
Is there any genuine hope for a better world, a world where people really enjoy life on earth to the full, free from all these troubles?

I genuinely think people who believe in god have a mental illness. It’s ok to believe in stuff as a child, like Santa, to to believe in something where (a) the very premise is absurd, and (b) there’s not a single jot, nothing, of proof, is just nuts.

People don't wish to bore themselves to death reading that religiously; they, as children, tend to adopt the beliefs of their parents whom they trust.
Belief in a spiritual aspect is not a mental disability. Watch the many NDE testimonies on YouTube (suggest skipping any with a major religious beliefs as they grate and bore).
General view from them is that you do find yourself no longer connected to your past body, that the core you is of the spirit and that there are others you meet that are more advanced than you at this point.
Much food for thought.

I'm not sure about the //others you meet that are more advanced than you at this point.// but I see no reason to connect this claimed experience to religion. It certainly does give food for thought though, but in my opinion those who automatically associate it with 'God' aren't thinking at all. The rest are the real 'good thinkers' - as per Goodlife's OP.
