Can anyone help me. I am trying to find out where in the Holy Bible there is any reference to the Rainbow Bridge to which all dog lovers seem to refer. Presumably it's the doggie-entrance to Heaven. Am I right ?

It may come from this:
https://medium.com/@humanegoods/where-does-the-term-rainbow-bridge-come-from-and-why-is-it-synonymous-with-the-loss-of-a-pet-deb9b4bd6bfe

But it may also come from this:
‘ Genesis 9:16 “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” ’

Thanks Zacs, the link article explains it all, and your biblical reference certainly could account for the origin of the story.

I wonder just how many corgis greeted Her Majesty, must have been quite a few.
Probably more cows and chickens than corgis.
I don't think it is a Biblical reference. It is believed that the concept of Rainbow Bridge has its roots in Norse mythology. The Bifröst Bridge was said to be a burning rainbow bridge that connects Midgard (Earth) and Asgard, the realm of the gods. The idea that the Rainbow Bridge is a place for pets was made popular in the 1980s and 1990s
Heaven
(Or the new Earth, depending on which scripture you believe...)
Has different answers.
BUT Nowhere does it indicate that you shall be reunited with 'Max'

Is the Rainbow Bridge just for LGBTQ+ pets?
standard NT view is that animals dont have souls
so no heaven
( which is kinda odd since anima means soul)

KJV uses 'beasts' exclusively

They have a use of course - Balaam's ass,
and on Christmas eve midnight all the animals in a byre are meant to genuflect... coz little Baby jesus was born in a manger
BUT - - no souls
//Is the Rainbow Bridge just for LGBTQ+ pets? //
Its not even for women....

God, I wish that people would actually read the Bible.
Is the Rainbow Bridge just for LGBTQ+ pets?
nope - everyone is welcome
The Anglican Church is a broad church ( latitudinarian)
if Bishop, belief in God(*) an advantage

(*) and old one about the Bishop of Durham who was thought by his diocesan christians ( parishioners but for a Bishop) to be an atheist

What about St Teresa de Avila? (1580)

More people need to look into Balamm's ass
;-)
A talking Donkey....
MORE surprising that a man had a conversation with it
like it was the most natural thing in the world....
The Bible's own Mr Edd!
"God, I wish that people would actually read the Bible."

What a strange sentence from one who sets his face against organised religion. :-)
