Does anyone on this web site specialise in any of the above?

I'm wanting an answer to a question that only a clairvoyant or Medium could help me with.

I'm not 100% sure that I believe, but I really need a question answered?

Thanks

I appreciate you may feel differently, and you may not feel this is very helpful, but clairvoyants and mediums have been debunked time and time again.

They prey on those like you seem to be, who want answers and are desparate, but they give their answers based on a number of techniques such as Cold Reading, where they are skilled at picking up unconscious clues given by their clients in response to their questions.

They cannot help you unless you seek to learn how to defraud others by pretending to be able to commune with the dead.
Waldo is mostly right. Regarding the fraudsters, they always have been a huge "rip off" industry preying on the susceptible.

However, I believe in God and the Bible, and the deception of evil spirits, and you could find yourself seriously harmed by having any dealings with mediums etc. Have nothing to do with them.
Admittedly there are con artists that pose as mediums but there are also the rare individuals that have a gift as receptors of spirits. I have visited such a person for a reading following the passing of a family member. One's religion or beliefs has nothing to do with the information given to those who may want some answers.
I was not desperate but went with an open mind and gave no previous information either about myself or the deceased and only answered yes or no to facts the medium came forward with. There was no lengthy prying or searcing for details to give the medium clues to work with.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding the paranormal,god/s, aliens etc....etc. I think it's best to say, we don't really know unless we experience something that changes our own personal view.
To answer your question "samie_boo", The person I know of would probably be willing to help you but I'm not sure about giving details out on this site.
I know of an excellent clairvoyant and medium who contrary to what Waldo says doesn't charge anything (renumeration is by voluntary donation either to herself or to a charity and of any amount you see fit, from 50p u[pwards). I can vouch that she is excellent and is not of the con variety type at all (as there is nothing in it for her).
I'd like also please to pull Theland up on his Christian assumption that what is stated in the bible is a fact. I practice Kaos Magick and don't personally buy into the idea of anything more spiritually strong than myself, as such nothing has the capacity to hurt me, so no harm done. Hell does not beckon for anyone exploring the possibility of spirits, so please don't worry. Those who have allegedly become "possessed" are usually from a fundamental Christian background or subject to mental illness. It simply doesn't happen so please don't worry.
I'm not prepared to give out this lady's details on here, but if you want to contact me at
[email protected]
then I'll email them to you.
Please don't go down this path however urgent your need for an answer is, samie_boo ,as only the living can help you - not the dead.

Waldo has summed it up perfectly, they prey on the innocent, vulnerable and desperate. I speak from experience as I've been to so - called world famous mediums with dire results.

I now know that what I and thousands of others experienced was deception pure and simple.. You don't have to be a Christian and you are not always 'possessed' as some will have you believe, but it is a very real attack by demonic forces that can have long lasting effects.

Is there no one you could turn to for help, a counsellor, trusted doctor or vicar, perhaps. I cannot plead with you enough to stay away from mediums, spiritists or clairvoyants.

Thanks for all your answers, I'm still really confused as of what to do.......

Part of me wants to dig deeper and find my answer and its not something that anybody "normal" so to say could help or answer but then part of me say 25% says leave it?

Noxumos, thanks for your offer....I'm going to have a think.....

I have experienced things before thats made me believe and when something happend in the summer of this year i thought I'd get some sort of sign to make me feel at ease with what happend and know that all was well?.........But nothing.......and now I feel like I need to know?

Satan is the father of lies and totally evil.
He is clever and powerful, and can easily decieve you into believing that you have just had a message from somebody who has died.
His purpose is to steer you away from the truth, away from God, and His son Jesus Christ.
The Bible exprexssly forbids trying to commune with the dead, and any form of "shamanism."
If you approach a so called medium, I do not doubt that you will get an answer of sorts to your question, but do not for one moment think that the answer has come from whom you think, and the medium says. Mediums are also decieved.
Dear Theland,
No disrespect to you, your beliefs or any one you know who may wish to partake in the Christian faith but even people who attend church lose loved ones and sometimes the answers they may seek whether in Bible format or asking for a Gods help or Jesus, can't provide the information they are looking for.I know someone who is a devout Christian and her partner passed away some years ago from long-term illness. While lying on his death bed he was trying to tell her something but couldn't get the words out.
This played on her mind for a long time after his death until someone mentioned the medium I visited to her.She really dug deep questioning her belief and morals to make her mind up whether to go or not. In the end ,she did and told me she wished she'd seen this person years before. She still goes to church and is finally happy knowing what she does about her husband.
As I said before; there are con artists and sometimes you may find the rare individual who has a gift and only wants to help people.
luna-tic - I do not doubt for one moment that there are people whose only aim is to utilise their "gift" for the benefit of others, totally altruistic, and not charging any fees. Such people must exist, and the person you refer to appears to be one of them.

I stand by what I said though, that the 'Deciever' uses these situations for his own ends, as stated above.

The Bible simply says that it is not OK to do this or visit such practitioners.

I am not making a judgement on this ... God is.
Does Theland also believe in the Holy Spirit?
Why can't there be other spirits? On a personal note, I spoke to a medium once, and at our fist and only meeting, she correctly named members of my family who had passed.
How did she pick those up from subconscious clues?
Keep an open mind, and accept that there are things outside our knowledge and understanding.
Theland, you are being very rude and obnoxious to those of us who do not share your views. Not everyone here is a Christian, and not everyone believes in your god, or the validity of your holy book. To say you are right and everyone else's opinion is wrong is nothing short of arrogant and wrong. I'm really sorry to haver had to say that, but it's offensive.
To continue in this manner is also extremely disrespectful to samie_boo.

We have all given her more than enough information for and against, to which she has generously thanked us. Any more toing and froing in this argumentative manner is incredibly rude and totally superfluous.
If you will pardon me for saying so cetti, answerbank was never intended solely to only answer the questioner's original question surely? It has always been my belief that it is an open forum to ask questions and progress those questions beyond the original request. It's has certainly been my experience of AB since I've been posting here, and that has been quite some time.I'm afraid I think it is inappropriate for you to tell other users that they may not do this. If you don't care for what is written because it contradicts your own opinions, then either refute them, or do not read them please. Once again, sorry if you are offended but I will challenge things where I see something bigoted and offensive, as posted above.
It is because I have been on AB for many years that I am able to say this as I've seen the way these kind of threads progress.

A lively debate is one thing, but this is turning into a slanging match which serves no purpose. I ignore multitudes of posts for this very reason, but when the poster (samie_boo) has in essence ended the thread then I will ask for commonsense to prevail. If you choose to carry on then so be it.
Thank you Cetti, I will continue as I said, I think it's an inapproriate request and not necessarily unbiased.
Both Theland and myself regularly discuss religion in what I consider to be quite a respectful, albeit sometimes heated, way so I think your fears of "slanging match" are wholly unfounded, but thanks for your concern.
You're welcome, noxlumos.
I hope none of us in reply to "samie_boo's" original request have offended any one.Obviously it's because we all have our own special experiences, knowledge and opinions on this and many other subjects as to the reason why our thoughts are expressed and sometimes this opens up a whole new debate.
Whatever beliefs, ideas or opinions we have, we all add something hopefully unique in our own way.
Noxlumos especially - (29/11/06 @ 17:35) but to all of you.
I should have prefaced my answer by saying, "In my opinion," as I am naturally upset at the thought that I may have been inadvertently rude and obnoxious in sharing my beliefs, which are based on the teachings of the Bible.

It is my belief that the Holy Spirit is fully God
as is also God the Father and God the Son.

There are also, my belief, other spirits, fallen angels, or demons, that are so much much more powerful than us, that it is a simple matter for them to access our innermost knowledge, and use this to "prove" themselves to be the spirit of a departed friend or relative.

When people say that they received information from "the other side" that could only have come from a close relative or friend, they are therefore convinced of the supposed reality of a kind of spiritual existence beyond the grave, that is, in my opinion, totally false and dangerous.
Hi Theland, no problem at all my friend. I do tend to get a little irate regarding religion as it's so frequently stuck down your throat by so many people and having striven long and hard to find answers etc myself, I found that wasnt the path for me, so forgive me if i came over as a little rude myself. It just always makes me anxious when people feel their way is the only valid one.
Theland ...it could be argued that jesus himself was a medium since he spoke to long deceased prophets on the mountaintop.Having researched spiritualism (and the occult generally) I personally have found it laughable.I once had a medium tell me that I would be having trouble with my neighbours erecting a shed that would block out the light from my home...I lived on the 7th floor of a block of flats at the time.If this is the best that the dark lord and his minions can do then its no wonder that God kicked his ass out of heaven!
