How do anthiests believe the world started?
There are only a couple of possibilites really.
To say you dont believe in god must mean you believe we are here through some other force, but evolution is a load of made up crap. You say believing in god is far fetched, but i think believeing in evoultion is even more far fatched.

Praline, you say that religion has a bad name for causing war and chaos, but it's the actions of man that bring it about. Have you ever asked yourself who created religion? Seek and ye shall find, dear Praline .... it was not god, but man who created religion and all the horrors that go with it. Much better to be your own person with your own mind, and live your life to the best of your ability. I don't believe we just die, and there may be an almighty, but it's not the god of the bible. The real god doesn't have his personality or his failings.

not sure that anyone is still looking at this but just one point i'd like to make about people who think science is against them or that science goes against religion. science gives you everything you need and has done for all of mankind. for people who say they dont want to believe that when they die thats it, science has the ability to let you live far longer than you ever could before. therby giving you the chance to make the most out of this life. stop worrying about what will happen and start enjoying what you do have. ABSOLUTE PARADISE!! there is nothing, i repeat nothing that you can imagine in heaven that you cant have in this life. please remember that and keep thinking "this is my one chance and im bloody well gonna make the most of it"

I think when presented with facts and evidence it's not a question of belief but simply the acceptance of truth.

If you wish to deny reality then that should be between you and your psychiatrist.
