The only reasons I can think of for the dog to stay is if she is looked after properly. Given food, water and be cared for as a dog should be, with respect and not just used for some ridiculous twisted religious purpose.
Will this marriage change the man or will he end up causing the animal harm when it doesn't obey him?

It is difficult to rationalise and debate any philosophical elements where the nature of the �beast� in question is irrational. Man does so many things which one would consider unconventional, absurd or just plain odd. Your dog bride is rather run of the mill when it comes to strange love�.
