Since Naomi will not give me the ****ing key I have decided to follow Jesus and be a Christian just like Theland. I am ashamed of my past history here so I'm going to devote the time I used to spend on ab to reading the Bible. No question really because I no longer care about what people think. I'll get all my answers from God from now on thank you.

At this point perhaps another question is in order . . . as this one appears only marginally suitable to the respondent to whom it was addressed? I do have feelings of admiration and envy for those who are able to knock off three digits worth of pages in one sitting, a feat I havent mastered since reading about the adventures of Bilbo and Frodo or John Galts speech and I do feel very much deprived of the wealth of great reading material out there but alas as much as I adore a happy ending I am a casualty of the seemingly infinite allure of the internet with its wealth of fascinating and intriguing information I can gather with my fingertips, that is, when Im not busy . . . tearing down the wall!
Wow, I really started something there eh?!

I can't remember recomending it Naomi, actually I can't remember if I've read it either wich alas doesn't mean I haven't.. I just get very confused. Are you sure it wasn't Jake, Waldo or Chukka on that thread you did? The problem with reading a lot and being able to read and absorb stuff quickly is that occasionally it all starts to blend!

Right... So remember I was asking about how they made tubes go uder the thames and built the tunnel and then I seemed to go quiet and stop thinking about it for a while... Well I'm thinking about it again.. Do the tunnels go under the thames or are they in the middle of it with water flowing above and below? Or are they on the river bed?

Oh, and while I'm on to random questions.... this thingy majiggy they made to recreate the big bang, while I'm pretty impressed and don't really see how something witht hat manny protons being zapped at it could be a negative thing... I don't under stand why.... Mibs!!! Physics remedial class time I think!
I had a go. 68,000 and something. I'll be back!!
Mibs!!! You've got me addicted!! 89531 at the last count. Must try harder!

Got to dash - things to do, places to go, people to see!!

See you later.
Was my game first not Mibs's!

Sulks
Flipping heck, China. Well done!! I had a couple of goes this morning, but clearly I need a lot of practice! I find with things like that, I always feel I'm against the clock, but of course, I'm not, and I must get that into my head. Maybe then I'll think more logically. It's the sort of thing I can't resist having another go at - I suppose in an effort to beat my last score. It's pretty compulsuve. Do you play it a lot?

Luna, have you had a go at it?

And where on earth is Theland? Any news anyone?

Mibs, Itchy & Scratchy? Well, it must be worth reading. I'll look out for it.

Incidentally, I was never able to knock three digits worth of pages off Frodo's adventures in one sitting. It took me a whole year to read that - cweusly!

Mibs ...... er ........what can I say? I merely bathe in reflected glory. May as well wave the white flag now!

Luna, of course I know the Simpsons. I'm a great fan of Itchy & Scratchy - but Lisa's my favourite. I wonder why? :o)

Night everyone. x

Naomi, Im a bit surprised . . . and equally disappointed that you didnt ask, Who is John Galt? <?

China, Naomi nearly threw me for a loop with her "novel" question but with your question I haven't a clue where to begin. Your proton pun was a classic example of physics humour! Was that an original? Heres an old standard:
Two atoms bump into each other. One says 'I think I lost an electron!' The other asks, 'Are you sure?', to which the first replies, 'I'm positive.'

At the risk of eternal damnation, I submit that why is a broad question . . . moan . . . You might begin your quest for an answer
here

And now that Ive had a chance to recover form my original excitement . . . Thanks (once again) for sharing your wonderful game(s).

Hope you're feeling better soon . . . and that goes for everyone!

. . . there hasn't been a Frank show up recently showing you his bits, has there? Of course you don't have to answer that . . .
Mibs, yes, perhaps I should have asked. It's a debatable subject. :o)

Luna, I like Lisa because she's clever, she has strong prinicples - and she's a bit of a loner.
I like Maggie best.

Who is John Galt? I don't get it.

And of course my joke was an original! But I've heard your one before.. Tell me another, I like physics jokes!
Honey, I don't know what quarks (sp??) are and I think I'm going to need something about the different types of electron too. Have you got anything on the bits inside an atom and what makes them up? (I'd googleit but I'm not sure google could handle my technical lingo!)
In the particle hunter one they talk about ante matter and dark matter, are they the same thing or different? I'm sure I've asked about that before actually...
Ok ignore that, they're clearly not the same thing. What is the difference though? Is anti-matter created from nothing and dark matter stuff that exists but we can't see it? Also, is primordial matter a description of how the world was before all this came about?

That supersymetry thing is quite romantic really... I wonder how long it'll be before match.com has profiles saying looking for my super symetry equivelant ro complete my life....... Bleugh! :-D

Oh... Sorry everybody.. I like physics stuff, can you tell! (Mibs saves me a lot of embarassing questions in Science!)

China, I actually know little (if any) more than you do but I also find it fascinating to learn about this stuff and perhaps even more how it was discovered and scared up.

I only retain ~1% of what I read long enough to complete a sentence and of that only ~1% can be recalled 24hrs. later. But it does get a little easier to comprehend and fit the pieces together each time. It's not easy but I try to relate everything in some way or another to my own direct perceptual experience. I believe this practice is essential to understanding. Given a choice I would prefer to understand a little than to know everything.

Nevertheless you are invited to accompany me on my explorations and are encouraged to suggest an alternate path when something sparks your interest.
