Let me put this out for discussion. A couple meet, marry, and have 25 years of happiness. The husband dies. After a few years the widow meets, marries, and has a further 25 years of happiness with her 2nd husband. He then dies. The wife has loved both men equally, and they her. In any afterlife, with which one shall she spend eternity? What if she must choose? What becomes of the "rejected" husband? Your thoughts much appreciated in advance.

Wizard yes possibly ! Personally, I never criticise other peoples beliefs. Apparently Elvis Pressley, was a member of many beliefs, on the ground that he did not want to loose out on the church that had it right. So who knows it might not be cobblers!
well i hope someone is looking after my cats or there will be hell to pay
Elvis was clearly a fan of Pascal's Wager then.
Naomi unable to confirm that, however can confirm he was a fan of large Greasy Burgers with onions or something like that. Infact they were a passion of his. If I were to take a guess, I imagine that would have been too 'high falutin'' for his intellectual range and mine come to think of it!
Ah but as Pascal discovered, you can not serve 2 masters. All the Gods will have showed him the door because he hadn't shown loyalty to any.

Got to get lucky and pick the right one, or you've lost the wager for eternity.
Not so hasty in putting yourself down. Monze. He didn't have the benefit of google. You do. ;o)
I'm happy to disagree with Keyplus whenever it suits me, the difference is that I can see his viewpoint, not neccessarily agree with it, but see it.
I do not (and never have) claimed a monopoly on rightness or righteousness, others should do the same.
K90 has come in for some horrendous name calling of the most appalling kind, and I dislike that.
Naomi I'll give you an example, we both believe in an afterlife, we both believe in ghosts, I view the existence of ghosts as proof that God exists, you don't and nothing will sway you to concede one iota on that point, you say you don't believe in the supernatural because ghosts are perfectly natural, you rail against supertition but would never concede to the notion that to believe in ghosts is superstitious.
You are both absolutists, and arguably wholly intolerant of differing opinions.
As smarty pants just posted you can not serve 2 masters at once, if I am busy replying to you, how can I be googling at the same time.

Everton, I most certainly have never claimed to be righteous, and as much as I have argued with Keyplus, I have never called him names - although I admit I did once say he was 'nuts'.

You may believe the existence of ghosts prove that your God exists, but I don't, so why expect me to concede the point?

Oh Monze, come on - you really must try harder. ;o)
Mmmmmm, its late I am going to bed!
ahmskunnirt, well apparently my fate is already sealed, so might as well go for it. See some of you downstairs then. :o)

Wiz, I've seen your picture - and believe me - that handbag really doesn't do a lot for you. :o)

You can't give credit for any belief other than your own, neither can he.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, atheists lack any sense of irony and you're two sides to the same coin.
And why "my God", if it proves the existence to you of another God then say so, it doesn't have to be "my" God.
