The difference between religion and spirituality
76 Answers
Leading on from Theland's question below, it seems to me that believers confuse man's innate spirituality with religion. Even the most ardent atheist is capable of experiencing spirituality, but he doesn't acquaint it with the God of the Arbrahamic faiths, so why do believers feel it necessary to do so? Is it simply that they have to justify it by putting a name to something they can't explain - regardless of the culprit's appalling demands, threats, and disgraceful track record?

Luna, While I might not entirely agree with your belief system it appears at least to make accomodations for alternative points of view. Taking a chair in the luny orchestra makes a hellofalot more sense to me than strapping on explosives far in excess of that necessary to blow oneself to smitherines just to make a point.

Even as an accomplished versatile musician, I can not be expected to make music from just any old beverage bottle Naomi. Depending on how well the warm-up session went, I might be willing to provide some flexibility with respect to quality as long as potency has not been compromised. But it absolutely must be of sufficient capacity to be properly tuned with enough left over to wet my whistle and keep me in high spirits throughout the performance. We all know how temperamental cweus musicians can get about not having a proper instrument to play on.
Looks like the new sanctuary's been approved Theland. All we need now is a secure channel to slip you the key. As notorious as you've become around here lately you might prefer sending me an email as opposed to posting an email address of your own right here in front of god and everybody . . .
