....and they did not look like humans but had the same level of intelligence or moreso, would we still be able to maintain that we are created in God's image?

I don't believe it is supposed to mean visual image.
After all can one equate a physical body with whatever is the equivalent in a spiritual realm ?
Probably refers to being able to choose some absolute morally right way to be; eventually.
One of these days I'll get tired of asking this question: which god are you talking about?

The Encyclopedia of Gods on my shelf lists over 2500 of them. Which one?

And might not these alien people also be misguided enough to believe in gods and have their own ideas? How conceited of the Judaeo/Christain lobby to try to impose their particular god, not only on the rest of this planet, but on the rest of the universe as well!
Luna, //Can you understand my confusion?
I have had no request from the owner of the address you put forth.//

No, I can't understand your confusion. I made it plain that I was simply passing a message on to you. Since you are clearly unhappy, rather than continue to make an issue of it, especially on someone else's thread, I can only suggest that from now on you ignore my efforts and wait to see if the owner of the address issues you an invitation personally. My apologies and regrets for trying to help.

Old Geezer, In my opinion, God's morals left a lot to be desired.
'God' forbid that all of humanity should ever follow that path.

Chakka, of course you are right, but you may recall that in response to a similar comment of mine, we had this discussion here a few years back. The general consensus then was that when 'God' is referred to on these pages, it signifies he of the Bible/Koran - and I suspect, as clearly you do too, that the concensus remains the same.

Of course, naomi. But we are not talking about the narrow confines of AB here, where we can assume that 'God' means what you say. We are talking about the universe at large where we have no right to make such an assumption.

A citizen of Planet Sunev, as well as possibly having his own gods, when looking at Earth, has no reason to pick out the particular god which features most on this website. He might think we're talking about Dhatar or Mal or Tatenen or....
Yes, of course. I forgot that. Silly me. :o)
