Over 13 hours!!!

My anit-virus scan has taken over 13 hours to scan my computer and is 92% complete. Does your virus scans take as long or is my computer full of poop?

Well, looking at where you've put your question, it seems that your software is doing its job 'religiously' ;-)

I've known full anti-virus scans to take anything up to a day but a 'basic' scan normally only takes a few minutes (at the most).

Not a cure but just a suggestion tigger. How often do you full scan? A scheduled daily full scan using AVG takes less than an hour.

I have VirginMedia PCguard. Thats probably the problem.

As you put it in religious section, I would say it was not a mistake but was meant to be like that. May God sort your computer out .............................. one way or another.
