Why Can A Phone Number Ring Me After I Blocked It?
26 Answers
I was contacted yesterday by cryptocurrency scammers trying to get me to deposit £2,000 into a ‘trading account’ that they would control for me, ie, steal. The number that rang said United Kingdom (where I’m from) yet from their accents they were from Pakistan or a similar country. Anyway I declined their offer and blocked the number, yet today I have been rang three times by that same number even though it’s been blocked. Why is this and how can I stop it? Thanks

They were trying to get me to deposit £2000 into their trading account and the guy was saying he could make me lots of money from it. I said I didn’t want to and we said bye and ended the call but they’ve been ringing again even though I’ve blocked it
Hopkirk- long story, basically there was an article published by the mirror talking about how holly willoughby (tv presenter) made profit from investing in Bitcoin. As the mirror is a legit newspaper I signed up to the Bitcoin system. When you do this you automatically get a call from what I later found to be scammers. At first I thought it was legit, but when I realised I was in a Pakistani call centre and they were trying to pressure me into giving £2000 (even though the article said £200 deposit) I knew it was fake so I declined their offer to which the guy started repeatedly asking me why, and I just ended the call

i have all foreign non uk numbers blocked on my landline and on my phone, if you relatives abroad, you can set them as safe numbers, rest blocked, i mean you know the numbers that phone you, doctors friends etc..rest can be blocked, i used to get at least one a day scam calls, all stopped, if someone you know cant get through if you blocked, you can unblock that number, ask them the number..if i dont recognise number i block it.
