... of course... Doh! that was fast mate nice one.
Jordi Cruyff qualified for Spain didn't he?
Ricardo López Felipe is another goalkeeper who played for Man United.
Question Author
well obviously Dutch, but I didn't know that if he did, but we don't mention the 'Jordi' too much.

Ricardo López Felipe appeared just once for Man United in the Premier League and four times in the UEFA Champions League.
I may be wrong, (nothing new there really), but I believe Jordi played for Catalonia, albeit it wouldn't have been an official International.

Thanks for the further input guys, to be honest I'm still reeling from forgetting Pique, Felipe not so much.

You right about Jordi playing for Catalonia however they have played many international teams, (this from Wiki) 'Catalonia is not affiliated to either FIFA or UEFA'

Still good answers cheers.
Catalonia may not be affiliated to any sporting organisation but there is a tournament between all the teams in that region every year - Barca Espanyol, Girona et al - though I can't remember when exactly
Question Author
Yes that's seems right, if you scroll down the link it shows that they do play full International teams as well.

Thanks for the info on the Catalonian team - would never have thought of looking there! I watch a lot of Spanish footie - prefer it to the British game, it's the way they move the ball about I guess. Did you notice that Thiago Alcantara's younger brother was in the squad for one recent game? It's reckoned he'll be even better than his older brother and possibly on a par with Messi - one to watch for the future
Question Author
I don't watch la liga too much to be honest, but if the lads alike-end to Messi, high praise indeed. You read it here first folks.
