ditto
.....and like your avatar piggynose
No denying it was a terrific result against a truly great side, (not the best team in the world, as Neil Lennon claimed), but also a complete injustice for good football. A total of 11% possession in the game and just one shot at goal in the first half to Barcelona's 11, yet they led 1-0.

Ditto the second half. I know football is about more than attacking and possession, but that was anti-football. Strangely, the Celtic loving media up here castigated Rangers for this approach against the same team a few years back.
Having a good winning performance on the night is one thing, but winning the Comp outright is another and I cannot see Celtic doing that.
No chance; they'll do well to qualify.
If they can beat Barcelona, who is it they can't beat?
That's a bit like saying a minnow who win an FA Cup game can then beat anyone. My question would be more along the lines of how often will they be so lucky over two games?

They were comprehensively outplayed and, I know Chelsea did the same to Barcelona last year, I would not expect it to become a regular occurence if they were to play them regularly. Similarly, there are plenty of other top footballing teams out there, like Bayern, Real Madrid, Dortmund, Ajax, and Barcelona again, to name but a few.
Well done to them quite a triumph itself to beat Barcelona even though it's highly probable only a one off and have very little chance of winning the Champions League.

let 'em enjoy it.
Arksided, my opening words were "No denying it was a terrific result against a truly great side".

Happy for them to enjoy it but, knowing all too many Celtic fans, hyperbole will abound and new mytholgies will already be in the process of being written.
Congratulations are indeed in order - a brave performance.
I am not a massive fan of the game, preferring the oval football. However well done, Celtic.

Nungate must be in mourning and I doubt the Towers will be open this Saturday night for MoFC.
And, Duncer, did you know that over 250,000 were at the game.........
I wouldn't have put money on that result but flippin' heck, well done Celtic:-)
Never mind Celtic or Barcelona or any other team for that matter. The BIG
game on Saturday is Partick Thistle v Dunfermline.
A real coupon buster, but well done Celtic
What's that, a Scottish 5th Division bottom of the table "clash"?
And, Duncer, did you know that over 250,000 were at the game.........

This week DT, next week it will be 500,000. Tonight's news descibes them as "legends".

Wharton, predictions for the BIG game. The other BIG game is Linfield away to Cliftonville and, if I was to gamble on it, I'd back Cliftonville.
Did any of you see Rod Stewart crying.
Yes, so touching!
I am crying, I am crying,
Glasgow again cross the sea.
I am sailing, teary waters,
To see you, score only two not three.

I am sniffling, I am sniffling,
As I sit there on my seat.
I am sniffling, wussying aloud,
To be with you, to see Barca beat.
