Think that comment he made will come back to haunt him, MT....did seem in the video replay, he almost smothered the ball, when he collapsed on it, and prevented Hazard from getting it.
and yes...a right Charlie! :)

Watched the game with my eldest son and he says he did it to Oscar earlier in the match.
That should be the end of ball-boys in footie then. The lad was acting like a fool hanging on to the ball, players like to keep the ball in play quickly. Ok for tennis you don't see them behaving like that at Wimbledon.

omg now Alex Ferguson has put his twopennys worth in ...........he has tweeted

'That poor ball boy could have been killed'
The ballboy's only acting out what he's learned from those heroes on the pitch.
Role models to a man.
Exactly douglas.
A football stadium is the player's workplace - you don't kick out at someone at work - unless you are an idiot. Not surprised the police are becoming involved.
The ball boys will have been told before the game, if we're winning, don't rush, if we're behind, hurry! They were winning, he was following instructions.
Home advantage!
Question Author
Police getting involved is pathetic.
Assault! Hazard kicked the boy, not the ball.
Even so he shouldn't have kicked at all.
Spot on, sir.prize .....think Hazard may be in a little bit of trouble, for kicking out firstly and due mainly to the fact of the ball boy's age. As I mentioned earlier, video replay evidence will be key to what happens next.
Question Author
He kicked the ball
He needs to learn a lesson even if its just to scare the idiot. Football is the least "sporting" of sports as it is and this does it no favours. Swansea don't deserve to be associated with it and Hazard shouln't have needed to kick him!

Question Author
Ballboy is a 17 year old cider swilling you.....Hazard is only 20

Hardly David V Goliath.
Don't agree Mick, from what I could see, the ball was underneath him and he kicked the side of the lad and as he rolled over the ball became free.
Hard to tell from the angle shown, but I would tend to agree with MassH, from what I saw, Mick....maybe if i saw it again closer up, it would look more certain.
Question Author
Watch it again and look at the pace of the ball appearing from under the youth.
Look here...what do you reckon?....seems he catches the lad in his rib and ball is on other side of him getting free.....a toughie.

If you look at the video here the ball was on the opposite side of the boy's body when Hazard aimed his kick. See for yourself in the clip
