What a difference there is between RU and football. You wouldn't see a RU player behaving like Ferdinand and getting away with it. What the ref says goes - no arguments. Ferdinand should be punished for that disgraceful behaviour.

It is very easy to blame a key decision for being dumped out of Europe, football fans are a fickle bunch, we have all blamed a referee for something once or twice!
But Man Utd should take a look at chances not put away, the por Van Persie performance and the fact that they were trying to hold play, so when Real got 2 quick goals, they were not set up to reply quickly. Rooney, though not fully fit had 45mins in him (although at half time they were not looking for several goals to be fair).
But the hounding of the ref and the clapping in his face in not professional, however annoyed and disappointed you may be

Sir Alec not attend ing the press conference was disgraceful, disrespectful, arrogant and did nothing for English football.

Yes, the sending off did influence the game but as, throughout the season, Man United didn,t have a goal scoring middle field game player and this was highlighted as Modric filled that role for Real Madrid.

Also.....that was not the best Real Madrid side that I have seen.

Are we seeing the decline of English league football?.....I fear so.
